I have always been curious about leather toys..leather paddle...belt..flogger, but have never been spanked with any of them yet. Any advice for a newbie who wants to experience leather. How much do leather implements sting? Any info you want to share would be great thanks. |

I like my leather paddle that Wolfie gave me the best of all. One side is leather and one side is suede. A nice weight to it and just wonderful. I don't know the cost.
It really is my favorite even over his hand at times because sometimes Mr. B's hand can get thuddy.
The Spice of Life is having my OWN WAY!! A spanking would be nice.

I adore leather, especially Steve's medium weight paddle. Lots of sting, but can be very pleasurable. Leather is great for a warm up or an erotic spanking, just be sure to get the right thickness for you. Too thick and it has too much thud, too thin and it wont last very long.
Leather floggers are also very yummy...especially for erotic spankings. The sting is lovely and leaves your skin tingling all over. And then to have it dragged lightly down your body...oh my! 
I highly recommend leather toys. *wink*
wolfie loves Steve more than anything else in the whole world...even more than chocolate and lobster!

Are leather paddles expensive? Is there a way a person can make their own? I found a site that explained how to make a gag ball.
I don't want to come off as being totally cheap because I am not. I don't know. I have a hard time spending money on toys. Before G I didn't even own one. I was too embarassed to buy anything.
He is going to the local "shop" we go Monday night to p/up some shave cream. Maybe I'll suggest the leather paddle we saw there. It has been quite awhile since we bought ourselves something new. LOL wink wink!!!!!!!!
What I would like to find is something light that would give me a great long lasting heat to my bottom. Does anyone have any suggestions?????

Rocco, We have the Boudoir Paddle, The Reformatory Strap and the Ruler Strap from The London Tanners. I can personally attest to the quality in workmanship, material and ouch factors of all of them. The Ruler Strap is particularly nasty. You don't have to work your arm with that one! What I've seen in Sex Stores that carry any leather (?) spanking implements are crap. We bought one leather slapper, you might as well have been using a piece of cardboard. It cost $60.00 Canadian, too. Ian at London Tanners makes real implements. |

Our friend John, at Leather Thorn Paddles does excellent work, too. We have a Rose paddle, both sizes of the SchoolMaster strap, a Rat Tail paddle, a big strap, and the notorious Brat Loop.
They're all great leather toys and vary in intensity. I absolutely adore the Rose Paddle. It's perfect for long sensual spankings. The big strap is both thuddy and stingy. The SchoolMasters straps and the Rat Tail are both very stingy - I love the burn they deliver. The Brat Loop delivers a serious sting and is the ouchiest of the toys we have.
I don't know where Dan got our flogger but it's a heavy one and I love it. Our tawse and crops are nice, too. What I like about leather is that it can be used with different levels of intensity.
Wood is just hard and thuddy usually. The CB paddle is an exception to that and is more sting than thud. Personally, I prefer leather because I'd rather have sting than thud. Also, I can take a long intense spanking with most of our leather toys and be ready for action again the next day.
Gee, I have a lot of toys, don't I? I have to admit it - spankings, leather, and chocolate are my obsessions.

See that's what I'm going for, lots of sting and less thud. I'll have to get some leather toys. The wooden paddle we have is a thinner one so the sting is great, but over a long spanking it can get too intense sometimes. I like the idea of the ruler strap style and also something like the rose paddle that can be used for longer spankings. Thanks for the tips and links.

London Tanners is excellent, as is paddlewerks, toybag, leathercellar and paddleshop.co.uk. I agree that most of the leather toys you find in sex shops is poor quality, but thats not true of all of them. Just be sure to get a recommendation first.
