lol, NOt sure I spelled Spanko De Miyo right but I was just wondering if any of you were planning to attend it. It is in Tampa, Fl in May... I am toying with the idea of going but when I presented it to Gary he said he wasn`t interested (he is shy) but that I could go alone if I wanted. Well, the fact of the matter is I am a bit socially shy as well but I really think i want to go. How do these parties work if you go alone? Would I be "odd" if I was just there to meet new friends and not necessarily be spanked? I would love to meet people who are just like me...

Im not sure what this is...a party or a convention? Perhaps there's a website you could look at to check it out and see if your really interested? If its a convention no one will think your odd by being there alone to see the demos and meet folks.
If its a party, people will expect that your there to play...so be prepared to turn down a lot of offers. You dont have to play, just chat up folks and let them know you want to make friends.

drat!!! and my mom and I are going down to fla in JUNE... and we'll be right there in tampa too.....
grrrrr. Anyways... I don't think it'd *hurt* anything just to go and meet people. But I do understand being shy around a whole lot of people like that. sorry not much of a help, never been to one so...
anyways hope u have fun with whatever you decide. |

If this is the event I'm thinking of, it's being hosted by Crimson Moon. They have a page on their site that describes what you have to do in order to go to this event. I've asked them about putting up links and I'm waiting to hear back from them now. I'll let you know what they say! |

I thought Crimson Moon was based in Chicago? This event is in Florida.

HI all, here is the scoop. When I phoned Ian (LT) to ask when I might expect my new strap (delay not his fault, just backordered) he was very nice and after learning I was new to DD and lived in Florida he told me about the crimson moon PARTY! It is in tampa, May 5-6th. I think Ian will be there as well as many others with their fine implements <g> . I think I really want to go but I wish Gary would escort me however, he is shy and has said I can go but he prefers not  So, if anyone does choose to go, please email me and we can discuss it. You can do a search for crimson moon, parties and find it. I hope this helps.
