I was up late last night (11 is late for me) and I was flipping through channels on tv and stopped at "The Man Show" just to see what the it was about. I tuned in just in time for an audience participation "spin-the-wheel" game with some very interesting prizes. The wheel was divided into 10 sections, and they were good prize, bad prize all the way around. One unlucky contestant won the right to wear a red bra and g-string for the rest of the show. One lucky contestant won a spanking on stage from a leather clad "juggy". The young man seemed thrilled with his prize, and once over her knee, she grabbed up the back of his head by the hair and applied several vigorous strokes to his behind with a large, black leather studded paddle.
One of the other "prizes" was also a spanking but by a fat, gay biker. When the "juggy" was administering her spanking, the fat gay biker came and assisted, by adding in a few swats with his own leather paddle.
We're also getting inundated with the commercial for "Beerfest" here in the US. There is one part of it where two busty young scandinavian ladies threaten to "put you over our knees and spank you." to which the young beer drinker in question looks at his buddy and says "This is just getting better and better!"
Nice to see spanking getting some air time via the media. It's about time!

I guess I didn't make the point of my post clear, and I'm sorry it turned into a flame war defending and attacking people's sense of taste.
All I was commenting on was the fact of seeing "spanking" in mainstream media presentations. Both instances I cited were rather satiristic but
I forgot to mention the womens channel presentation we watched (both of us with open mouth disbelief) on "pony training" complete with shiny leather harnesses, high-stepping performances and of course, the obligatory whip to keep said pony in line. It was in no way humorous, it was a statement on a way of life and the trainer was wondering how she would tell her children about her sexual preference someday. Again, this is not endorsing, nor condemning, only mentioning that many things that used to be tabu are finding their way into mainstream media.

I agree with you Weasel - the main stream media has become somewhat open to a lot of "alternative" lifestyles! My husband and I attended a fetish fair in Boston 2 years ago and there was a girl walking around dressed as a pony - it was something to see! ***I could never see myself in those damn high boots!!
