We went to Petsmart last night to get some kitty food and they just added a Horse section , As we walked by he found a new toy and added it to our shopping cart . It's 18-19in long with a 1" leather piece on the end it was called training edu. 4.99 lol on the ticket. Is this a Crop ?? Boy, he seems to be able to pick up any new toy and use it like he's done this before ( as I know he hasn't ) , it just seems so natural for him to know just how to use them in the right way. |

Have to agree with Shylah and Tammy...it is a crop, but use caution...lots of sting. We have one.....

Are you supposed to use the shaft of the crop when you hit someone or just the tip?

I think its your choice Victoria...we only used the tip...and it stung like hell. I do know people that use the whole thing...kind of like a cane... My own thoughts here would be just use the tip...and watch out!! |

I love the crop because it's so variable as is my response to it. We've also just discovered how to make it work as punishment. If he leaves a long gap between strokes each one hurts pretty much likes it's the first one and with the same nervous anticipation on my part. In this case ignorance was definitely bliss

W tends to mainly use the shaft, the tip when used on its own doespretty much nothing for me, its like being hit with a leaf. Maybe we haven't found the right angle or way to do it yet.
The thing that I think is worst about being cropped is how he places his aim with the shaft goes to swat and thats as is but then sometimes the tip strikes elsewhere a micro second later which your not expecting and usually in an awkard place. For some reason the tip then stings an awful lot.

I've never found the tip to hurt much either. It must not have been applied correctly.

wait ....I have two crops one the lil leather flap ..that tip is like a lil feather ...does not hurt ..but the other the lil loop ..YEOWCH !
both are about the same weight and stiffness so really its what kind of tip one gets that matters. oh for any other who wants info on crops ..like where to buy ..go to the saddle stores ..UFA , or petsmart and get the real thing for under 10 dollars my excat crop was being sold in a sex shop for 85.00 i got it for 7.00
(there are also some FUNKY straps from leather *leashes* you can get and make

OOO! Crops are not a Brat's best friend.... Cowboy naturaly has some.... He asked me if i'd like to try it from a horses pov yesterday... i 'politly' told him where to shove it! LOL! However, Cowboy was nice enough to share his other 'toys' with me instead! lol!  |

You need one with a heavy bit of leather on the end - about 3-4 inches long and at least 1-2 inches wide. Flicking on he bottom is stingy and painful without leaving any bruising…. Ex-girlfriends have been able to take a lot but still find it painful. Personally I find this very difficult to take much of…. |

The flap on the crop has never really hurt for me either, except when used on, um, extremely sensitive areas. We have one that is a 3/4" wide loop (perfect for accessing said sensitive areas) and another with a heavy flap about 2" wide.
We bought ours at a booth set up by a tack shop at an area rodeo. That's a great place to get a bargain on all sorts of fun leather toys. We paid $5 each for our crops. |

The 1st day we got it he only used the end and it was alittle stingy , the next time he must have got the hange of so to speak it was ouchie and last night he used the whole rod .. very fun shall we say . it makes much less noise so it's better for us. This has become our favorite toy so far |

Hi everybody, it's been a while since I last posted as I've had a lot of things going on but I thought this was a good thread to re-start with as we've recently acquired a crop as well. We use the flap part (which is shaped like a hand) and I find it bloody stingy and it has on occasion left surface bruises. It was my fella's choice and unfortunately it's now his favourite toy although we've recently bought 3 more things on-line that we are waiting to be delivered and I'm wondering whether it's a case of out of the frying pan into the fire.
I foresee spankings........LOTS of spankings

The crop does bring a sting and depending on how it's used can be used quite effectively... bet you can't wait for your new deliveries!!!

Since we got the crop he doesn't want to use anything else .. he is nice enough to give me a little warm up with his hand. I haven't had any bruses just a red hot bottom and a little sore the next day , He's very easy on me , sometimes I think he's afraid he will hurt me . We are still very new to this. We have a safe word and I've explained what I want but still I have to TOP from the bottom almost everytime . |

We got one and tried it out rather quickly (at least for me) and yeah that's a crop. Sarah uses the shaft part and in my opinion it hurts more than the cane!!}

Yep that is a crop and those things do hurt like the dickens. My ex used to love using the crop, it was his favorite but not mine. Just be real careful in using it because like Blistering_Blonde said ...it can cut...I had first hand experience with that and it's not fun. Be safe and have fun! |
