Here is an old question, but one that might produce interesting discussion.

What attracts you to “play” with another person, and more specifically what would have to be in place for a relationship to start? I mean for example, does play just involve opportunity, or does there have to be more to it than that.?

Do you have specific things or criteria that need to be met before you will go forward – or do you say ‘what the hell lets go for it’

Or do you need to get that special ‘tingle’ to do it, and What is the ‘tingle’?

Every potential play situation in my opinion is considered an involvement opportunity but the person must have:

1.) Personality
2.) Comfort
3.) Trust
4.) Caring
5.) Taller than me
6.) Yes the tingle along with the above

When you said tingle I had to chuckle because I assumed that everyone got the "tingle" when it came to potential play situations whether it progressed thru to play or not.

What is the tingle: The blossom reacting to the thought, nipples coming alive, goosebumps running through the body as if you caught a chill, the feeling of the hair standing up on the neck, the smile that curves on the lips.

Never 'what the hell lets go for it.'
Did is a word of achievement, Won't is a word of retreat, Might is a word of bereavement, Can't is a word of defeat, Ought is a word of duty, Try is a word of each hour, Will is a word of beauty, Can is a word of power.

Let's see, there's two different things here for me. If I am not interested in getting involved with someone, other than say as in a friendship, then that person must be clean, polite, respectful, friendly and/or funny and be willing to abide by safewords and any other rules that come into play. I dont want to be otk and hear "this paddle will do the trick" after I have stipulated no toys! I dont need the tingle to play with someone, in fact I rarely get it after I have played with them once.

If we're talking relationship, then all of the above apply and more. I want chemistry, a good sense of humor, a healthy ego and a dominant personality. I want a man who cares about me and what makes me happy, as much as about himself. And yes, I need the tingle that raises the hair on the nape of your neck, follows the spine down to where your buttocks clench, your bits become moist and your heart races like a mustang.
