I just wanted thank everyone for their great advice on spanking implements..I decided to try out a paintstick on myself as some posters suggested. I happened to have one, so I decided to give it a shot. I took off all my clothing, went to my bedroom near the mirror so I could watch my butt get whacked, and assumed the spanking postition, making sure I got a nice view of my butt. It's hard to spank oneself, but it actually wasn't too bad, it was excting using something new on my butt. I began to whack away and wow...that paint stick sure was effective! I really felt every blow. I hit my butt very hard each time for full effect. It wasn't long before both my cheeks were red. It hurt, but was so exciting at the same time, if only I could get someone to do that to me anytime I wanted it ! I watched in the mirror as my butt grew increasingly redder with each blow. When I was done, I felt very sore! But itwas worth it! Only thing now is walking around with a sore butt for the rest of the day ! But at least it's red and warm just the way I like it. Any tips on relieving the soreness of my butt? I have to go to work later and at my job, I basically sit on my butt a lot and so it might be a bit painful ! What do you all do to help your sore butts? Any help would be great..the pain is not unbearable, just a little soreness that might bother me when sitting...maybe next time I shouldn't whack so hard..but resisting is easier said than done. haha.

A pillow always helps 
All kidding aside...there is a thread about relieving soreness, Spankboy (I think I was the one that started it!). The BEST suggestions i got were aloe lotion, and arnica lotion.

Thanks for the tip pinkcheeks! I'll try some of that lotion you suggested. I'm feeling a bit better now but I had a sore butt all day at work yesterday. My boss, Nancy,even noticed that I seemed uncomfortable in my chair and asked what was wrong when I was on my break.. I just told her "I'm ok, my butt's just a little sore today, that's all. " She asked why.....and the two of us get along pretty well and she's a very liberal person, so I figured why not, i'll just tell her the truth. I just said "Well the truth is, i'm into spanking and before work today, I whacked my butt with a paint stick." She just blushed and then started to laugh and said "Are you serious? That would explain why you feel so sore!" I just told her "yeah, I admit it. I spanked myself on my bare butt with a paint stick.It was nice, I got a red butt but I also got a sore butt!" She told me she had never tried spanking before but it was something she had thought of. She said "I would never whack my butt with a paintstick though! Sounds too painful for me! I don't think my husband would be into that kind of thing anyway." It was a great conversation, I was glad that I finally took a chance and told someone about my spanking lifestyle ! I'm glad I have such an open minded boss!

Thanks sassy..I still can't believe I was so bold either. It's not like me..I just felt like it was ok for me to say what I said at that moment..but I don't think i'll do anything like that again anytime soon!

It must be natural to try things out on yourself, we recently purchased a wooden spanking hand from ebay, before Gary used it on me I tried it on myself. You are right spankboy it is a little difficult to assume the position and be the top as well as the bottom.... I hope you find your significant other soon

spankboy just be glad you are not a woman and have a Hubby like mine, because if i get spanked for real good reason, he makes me wear a girdle the next day to work, makes sitting down a " real adventure" to say the least. and with all this talking about paint paddles i thought i would give it a try. i went to the paint store and got two 5 gal. sized paddles and got charged 1.65 each. i then made a trip to the art and craft store, got some stick on letters for stenceing, panted one paddle white , put on the letters and then sprayed the paddle red, when dry, removed the letters and Hubby now has a paddle that is red and with white letters which reads...WIFE TAMER....he used it yesterday, and you bet it can tame me down alright, ....don't know what i'll put on the other paddle but weooo they do work rather well...
