Most of the spankings that i have given were to women that i had introduced into spanking and we had alot of fun with the spankings i have administered. I would love to meet a bottom that like myself has had this fetish since before memory. I cannot find any point in my life in which i was not a spanko. |

Oh, I completely know that feeling where you can't really say where something's developed; it's just always been there. And then, it's always so nerve-wreckingly horrid confessing your kink, introducing someone else to it too because, to the untrained eye, the popular line between DD or the D/s lifestyle is so fuzzily separated from abuse that there's always the "You want me to WHAT?!?" moment. I nearly have a panic attack whenever I confess my love of spanking to a lover. ^_^; (Although, it hasn't really been recieved with repulsion ever..perhaps kind of a subtle disinterest at worst...)
And then starting it out. Is it an alien sort of trust for non-spankos? The power exchange. I know initially, my former dom was terrified he'd hit too hard, so would barely hit. And even when he got past that, was still never horridly enthusiastic about it. ^_^; It was a lot of not so subtly topping from the bottom on my part.
As a bottom, you're asking someone to overcome what they would normally consider abusive and not consider at all... to a degree that opens up the slippery slope which one may not be able to handle--I know not in every case, but it does happen.
As a top with a new bottom, I would be petrified of overstepping someone's boundaries and that they wouldn't speak up. Although I'm not particularly versed in that angle ^_^;
It is nice to know there are tops who have had the fascination with spanking since who knows when though  . |

As a spanko, it may be hard to imagine, but they're out there, Shylah. Just as there are plenty of women who've never fantasized about being spanked. It actually repulses some people. Some people just fantasize vanilla that's all. |

Ive been this way as long as I can remember. And until finding sites like the Den on the internet, I dealt with all those vanilla's and their attitudes towards spanking. It's what made me hide my kink for so long.

I agree with Wolfie - I even rememver wanting to hear stories about my friends hen I was younger when they talked about getting spanked. I was so curious because my parents never spanked me, and I was so curious and it just continued to buil; well let's just say, I'm certainly making up for it now, LOL.

I was horridly shy about my spanking love. ^_^; It was really getting into the GLBT community and seeing how openly and just frankly all sorts of lifestyles are discussed really helped me be more open about this part of myself as much an aspect of my sexuality--and personality--as anything else.
Open Relationships, S&M, What's it really matter? Different strokes for different folks, after all.

...somethings people just aren't going to understand, it's personal preference, it's just not their cup of tea, but that doesn't make one better or worse than the other.
but in a lot of cases I think it's one of those "agree to disagree" or a mind your own bleeding business >O sort of things. |

Laszlo, I understand the lifelong interest. I can remember having it as far back as I can remember. I surely didn't understand it back then though, and when I finally started to enjoy my interest, I too have found the need to be with someone that also shares my passion for it. Just "doing it" for me, or tolerating it, or submitting because that's what a sub does, is not enough for me. I love a man that loves and craves it cause it part of them!
