Gotta brag about this one guys. I was getting a firm punishment spanking today with a spatula (ordered from a paddle company so not your average kitchen spatula) and I broke it! I BROKE! I am the 'Spatula Slayer,' so watch out, LOL!
I'm sorry, but not as sorry as I'm gonna be.

I find that when they accidentally fall through the dish washer rack onto the heating element, they become pretty unusable.....

But your method is much more impressive.

Wolfie - do let me know, and Tammy, I'm totally down with that - all about slaying implements, LOL... and um... it's always been hand-washed... you never dishwash wooden implements, LOL!

Katie,
What is your address I have several wooden spoons and a spatula or two that I would like to send you.

Way funny. Bill did break a CB paddle one time- dam that man he had one in reserve.

Hmm...I was thinking of rubber spatulas. They just don't make that nice, slappy sound when they're all melty and disfigured. I don't know what a dishwasher heating element would do to a wooden one. I mean, there so much moisture, surely it wouldn't catch on fire....

I don't buy anything that has to be washed that can't go in the dishwasher.... Guess I'm just lazy.
