I got it from a wonderful crafter of wood implements in Canada. The engravings are done by a Tatoo artist which is wood burned in. I thnk the talent is worth the money since I collect implements for some strange reason.
Oh yeah it hurts when applied even at medium strokes as I sit on a pillow at the moment. It leaves a burn on the bum literally like you got burned. I have to check of course tommorrow to see if it lasted.  Got in the mail today and decided it should be tried out before we displayed it. He uses 5 layers of varnish which I feel it is what makes it a wicked implement.
I thought of Wolfie when I ordered it I thought an engraved Wolf on it would be so Kool. 
I am thinking of having one done with a cockatoo on it.

NbN, are you out of you cotton pickin' mind! Look at the thickness of that thing...that looks like it would be worse than the CB! Seriously ouchie! I do love the picture though.
This is my wolfie paddle, much thinner but still makes an impression.
With it are a tiny hairbrush I gave Steve, and the evil VBB! |

Hm...I've got one you might like to look at.
I've only felt it once, and while I'm certain that it could be vicious if desired, it wasn't applied that way.
It definitely has a distinctive snappy sting, but I believe that's normal for rubber.
It's about 15" long.

But Bethie, I thought that acting as a test subject was something you enjoyed? I really think Dan should try that on you first...you can start a thread on how much it stings.
