Just curious...The very first time I was with Big G, he made it PERFECTLY clear that his hand could outlast my bottom....something to do with a silly challenge, along the lines of "Are you Dom enough to Top me???" heeheehee...silly girl that I am...took him exactly 30 seconds to answer THAT challenge...Anyway-. he gave me a safe "sentance", if you will."Master, I can't take anymore".I've never had to use it, but I think that it has less to do with me being a tough subbie, instead it is because he is such a good Dom- he knows my limits, and what I can take. I have had to ask him for help in a session. If It is getting too much for me, I can ask him to help me- it can be him backing off a bit, or putting his hand near my face, so I can rest it in his hand, muffeling my cries into it. Or It can be his hand on my shoulder or head as he floggs me- it depends on what we are doing at the time.So I'm curious about other's safe words, or how the Top/Dom works with the sub/bottoms to get them through a tough part of a session?

I'm not pushed to or past my limits, so I cant answer the question about tough sessions. During a punishment his hand on my back, or him talking to me as we go along is helpful.

We have a safeword and we also use the traffic colors during play, just in case of problems like my asthma or other health related issues.
wolfie loves Steve more than anything else in the whole world...even more than chocolate and lobster!

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

Perhaps they are not stars in the sky, but rather openings where our loved ones shine down to let us know they are happy.

I believe in the use of a "safe word" but prefer not to use them. Instead, I prefer to have communication throughout a session. It's also why I require "knowing" my partner. If I know him, then I can read his signals, and know when I need to do more, or slow down, or even stop. The signals go both ways, with caring partners.

In casual play, at parties...I also prefer to communicate. If they want a safe word, then it's fine with me, but I prefer they actually verbalize what they feel, rather than cut things back, or cut them off...with a single word.

I like communication.

I agree with Ftop; I personally haven't had to use one but think they are of the upmost importance... definitely.
Please sir, I don't need a spanking. I'll be good, I promise!
