I'm a fighter. I hate to look weak in front of anybody and I do my best to hold tears back when the pain is excruciating or, at least, I try to hide them.
But I not always manage: especially sharp and sudden strokes with a cane on the top of my thighs are very difficult to bear and sometimes, in spite of my efforts, I burst into tears.
What about you? Are you a fighter as well? What kind of pain might bring tears on your eyes?

Thanks for your answers,

Melan

While I'm not a spankee (although been spanked before), I don't cry from physical pain myself...or if I do, it's so seldom that I don't remember it. I broke a bone in my back once, and the crying wasn't from the pain itself, as much as the sheer frustration brought about by the injury.

Some of the men that I've spanked have cried, but I don't think it was because of the pain either. While I'm sure the pain may have been excruciating , they were more able to release their emotions that were pent up. The crying was never from the actual physical pain,..or they were too macho to admit it.

My own episodes of crying (although rarely in front of anyone) are due to emotional responses too. From depression or frustration...emotional pain, but not from physical pain. I usually just shout some very choice words when in real pain , and why that helps, I don't know ...but it does .

I have never been brought to tears really. Mr. B seems to stop even in a punishment just before the tears may happen. He may let me calm down and then start up again, but never to the point of tears. I'm not sure what that would be like. But I'm thinking I probably would not like it much.

Now I am very good a crying when I get angry, very angry. That is my release.
The Spice of Life is having my OWN WAY!! A spanking would be nice.

I never cry while being spanked. I enjoy the pain and my husband never hits me to the extent where it is so painful that I would have to cry.

I have suffered pain in hospital but never did the pain bring me to tears. I do not think I would cry even if my husband hit me very hard. I do not associate pain with tears.

I cry when I am depressed, or very unhappy, but never from pain.

I don't normally cry when I'm in physical pain but make me really angry and they flow uncontrollably!! Ticks me off to no end to let anyone know they've gotten to me!! I'm with you K, a few choice words when in pain does work! Although it isn't very sub like to yelp and let out a few $?%&*@%$#'s..... Usually results in a wicked grin on his part and a whole lot of squirming on mine.

Same here- The only major punishment spanking I have gotten, I did cry, but I think it was more related to the mental side of things- I sobbed because of the MENTAL part, not because of the physical pain involved.I disapointed someone I loved very much, and hurt him badly.Same with any session I've ever had with a Dom/Top. I don't think it's unusual not to cry?

No, I dont think its unusual either Celticbratt. I think if you really are submissive, and also care deeply for your Top/Dom/Master, then disappointing him as well as making him have to punish you can easily bring on tears.

I don't think it should be an issue.."Do I cry or not? Am I weak or not?" whatever the dynamics of a spanking are, if you break and cry vs. not, or get mad till you are brought over by the act of submission itself...(Bethie, I think this should be this sites new motto)...IF IT WORKS FOR YOU, AND YOUR PARTENER.....IT ISN'T WRONG!!!!!!!!! ...Much better than "Don't tread on me", or "Make love, not war"...Oh NO- I see this thread going in an ENTIRE different direction now...here come the bad puns...

I'm pretty sure that Bethie believes in that motto wholeheartedly, and so do I.
