Just a bit of history. Mr. B and I started all this almost 2 years ago. He is/was a vanilla and we worked at getting it down to what I wanted, how I wanted spanked. Then he just sort of took over all by himself and I no longer had any say in what type of spanking I was going to get, when, or where.
So I am just curious. My spankings that are OTK or some version of that are perhaps once a week at the most maybe once every two weeks and they are not all that long, but they are intense so that I'm ready for it to end when it does end and it ends only when he is ready for it to end. But I think he reads me pretty well.
However - the remainder of the time I am swatted ALL THE TIME out of the blue on a daily basis. I can't remember the last time that I was not swatted at all in a days time. Those swats that I get are almost like little kisses. Just a reminder that he is here. He is close by. He is thinking about spanking or at least swatting me and enjoying himself.  Quite often when we are out I'm trying to push him forward so that he won't be behind me. It just seems that if there is an opportunity a swat will land when I am least expecting it. I think he looks at it as part of a game that he just really likes.
Does anyone else have this type of situation. A vanilla, that is not so much a vanilla anymore. And although he is not a full fledged spanko, he seems to really enjoy the swats to my bottom whenever he can get one in which is quite often.
I am satisfied with the amount of play that we have. I wonder though if others would be. Or if others would be happy to just get the swats whenever and wherever they can.
Just curious.

If you're happy with it, it's the right amount.
I get spanked anywhere from twice a week to once every ten days or so. Usually I can count on once a week, at least.
I don't ask for them. I just don't like doing that.
We do erotic spanking, so ours are always followed by sex. 
When we first started doing this, he would occasionally spank me as a precursor to sex. That would involve him rolling me on top of him, and swatting my bottom a half dozen times while he kissed me. Not much leverage (or sting) obviously. But still a start.
He was initially disturbed if he saw that my skin was pink, or warm. It took awhile (and some convincing) for him to realize that was the point! And yes...sting is our friend. 
Now, he occasionally DOESN'T spank me as a precursor to sex. Occasionally as in once every couple of months. 
We go through cycles, and if he's really stressed or tired, I get less. But that's true of sex, too. Men are affected by stress just as we are.
My six swat spankings have progressed to 7-10 minute spankings, sprinkled with rubbing. But pretty constant. It's hard to gauge, but I'd have to guess that he's using moderate force. We've progressed to thuddy toys, so I usually feel that after tingle for a day or so.
Unlike you, Ann...I've never been ready for it to end. He now takes me to my limit in terms of intensity...but a bit of rubbing and I'm ready for more. I don't really know what I could take in terms of DURATION, although I've reached my limit in intensity.
I am absolutely satisfied with the amount of play we have. And while he's vanilla, and isn't turned on by spanking me per se, he certainly is happy to do it, and greatly enjoys my reaction. 
I get patted/swatted constantly. He's definitely a butt man, although not a spanko. He's not shy about it either - he'll swat me in front of my mother (MY MOTHER!) for Heaven's sake. Or the kids. Not hard, of course, and always in a friendly way, but still.
Squire appears to be incapable of giving me a hug that isn't accompanied by either a friendly patt or two...or a swat.
He even did that to the others at the conference.  Sigh...men. |

Please...it was adorable. It isnt often that I get a nice goodbye hug, followed by a few pats on my butt. I was surprised to say the least, but loved every second of it.
My bottom is my biggest erogenous zone, so I love when Steve is touching it. Whether spanks, swats, pats or rubbing...it all feels good to me.
