Ellie and I had out annual fall getaway last weekend, and stopped at the state park in Cass, WV enroute to Virginia. Low and behold, the gift shop had one of the fabled "Board of Correction" pine paddles -- you know -- the one with the graphic of the little boy and girl bent over looking into a large barrel?
Well, needless to say, one was added to the collection, and better yet,it was 10% off as it was the end of the season.
It may get it's inaugural use tonight, depending when the trick or treaters quit |

Bluepencil...my husband bought one of the Board of Correction paddles and it broke the second time he used it. Be careful they are thin and can break easily. They do sting!!! |

Yep...they are flimsy. They "look" cute, but are hardly for real spankin's.
We got into a debate once if the paddles were actually called the "Board of Education" or "Board of Correction." Turns out they are both right, with the exact same little drawing. Same paddle...different name.

I have one I made with a heart in it and our names are burned into it...and DAMN it stings! Sigh...someday I gotta get that man to use it!
