Dan (Spankboss) and I mainly engage in erotic spanking. I've received a total of one discipline spanking the entire time we've been together (and it wasn't handled that seriously) and we don't practice serious DD in our household.
Besides that one discipline spanking, we're in this for fun. I enjoy a good hard spanking almost anytime. Even if I'm in a funk, a good spanking knocks me right out of it.
What I'm wondering is, do any of you other spankos ever feel amazed at how much your bottom can take?
Dan swats my bottom several times a day and I always come right back for more. He doesn't just use his hand either, he always keeps at least one of the smaller implements by his computer just for those moments. More often than not, I have at least one red mark on my bottom. And I know I could definitely take more.
During long spankings, Dan always warms me up with his hand and then slowly increases the intensity of the spanking with different implements. Once my bottom's good and warm, I'm ready for anything. I want him to keep increasing the intensity.
I'll wave my butt in the air and encourage him anyway I can. I've surprised myself by how much I can take during a spanking. I find myself wanting it harder and stingier as the spanking progresses. In fact, I've surprised us both by asking for the cane.
I'm still a little in awe of the cane so I normally wait for him to decide to use it. I couldn't believe I wanted it! But I was feeling good and that seemed like the next logical step in my progression of pleasure-pain.
Dan always checks with me to make sure I'm okay and I assure him and encourage him to continue. I love the intensity and never regret it. I love having a sore bottom.

Yes, absolutely. I'm not in your intensity league, but I am surprised by where I've gotten to.
While in fantasy, a nice solid hand spanking sounds fun, it just isn't enough for me. I know many say it is, and it's entirely possible that it's my partner's technique, but regardless, I crave more.
He ALWAYS stops before I'd like him to. He has recently spanked me hard enough for me to be red 18 hours later and bruised...and I would have still kept going. 
It just doesn't feel that hard at the time (not if I've been warmed up well, anyway).
I would love to be spanked until I literally couldn't take anymore, but I'd freak him out getting him to go that far. I don't even know why I want to.
I definitely like being tender afterwards. If I can feel it for a day or two, I'm a happy girl. I don't love bruises, because I think they look ugly, but I'm not terribly upset when I get them either.
If you had told me a couple of years ago that he'd be spanking me this hard...and that I'd be wanting more, I'd have thought you were nuts. 
Even when I get a fairly solid spanking...I'd happily have him rub for a minute or two...and get right back to it.

Yes, we've moved into quite intense spankings lately. He swings that ruler strap hard now goes till I'm kicking and wiggling and reach that higher octave, and I never know when he's going to stop. He goes well beyond where I can't take it anymore and keeps it up for it seems an eternity. But you know, when he does that I feel the best afterwards, than if he hadn't gone that far. It's usually the last implement he uses because it is so intense. It's hard to take whereas the Reformatory Strap (London Tanners) is my favorite leather. It's wider so it doesn't have that sharp intense feel that the narrow ruler strap has (but I do love/hate it for that reason). The wider strap is comforting somehow, just a nice burn on a big area with just the right amount of weight to it. And I understand Bethie's craving for that cane. I'd like it more often but we have to be careful, because I tend to get blood blisters if he strikes too hard, too often on the same spot. |

Yes Bethie...It blows my mind watching her endure her spankings. I've had her ass glowing like the sun, and she still tells me she could have taken more. I take my cues more from her body language than what she is telling me, I have no wish to injure her, and when she seems physically spent, I stop, much to her frustration. I use a varity of implements and make sure I get good overall coverage but she continues to sass and taunt me to giving her more. I'm not sure I really understand her need for extreme discipline, and I do admire her abilty to endure it. She too says she loves the feeling of a sore bottom, which I do believe as her intensity for after-punishment activities demonstrates. We decided to try employing a safe word technique, but I back down before she does. I love her enough to keep trying to find a common ground we are both comfortable with, but we do communicate with each other about it and will eventually archieve our goals.

It is funny how an erotic spanking only leaves you craving more. I find myself begging him to spank me harder, he does to the point his hand hurts, then he stops because of the pain in his hand. We peally need to get some good implaments. He uses the belt and hairbrush for discipline only, he doesn't want the same items for both. I am always frusterated when he stops, I have a high pain tollerance, and espacially when I am enjoying it. When he gets into it as well, calling me a bad girl, and telling me I am naughty in that voice he has I cant stand the suspence any longer and beg for more.

My levels have definitely gone up since we started over 2 years ago. It amazes me how much I can take! I dont have the problem where he doesnt spank me hard enough, I prefer stingy spankings and he can have me begging for mercy very quickly with his many toys. But it doesnt take long before I'm ready to play again. 
Erotic spankings for me aren't just about spanking, it's touching as well. So if he were to spank me really hard I would be so into enduring the pain that I couldnt become aroused. Building the heat, rubbing, touching...all bring me to the point where I'm ready to jump him immediately!

Baby have you tried the belt not doubled? You must have a preference, mine has always been the sting and burn of leather. The Reformatory Strap (The London Tanners) is my favorite for its coverage in width and just the right amount of weight. The Ruler Strap (same company) is very intense, might be dangerous to have if you guys are doing real discipline spankings. You might be real sorry you bought it. Bethie has a good place to buy the dreaded CB paddle (we got ours there). She has a post somewhere in here about where to purchase one (we bought 2, although we soon found out it's not likely to ever break). Then your husband could do just the warmup with his hand and save himself from injury. |

Hi, Bethie. I too enjoy the fun and pleasure side of spanking, as I don't think you can truly "discipline" or "punish" an adult through corporal punishment. I can "role play" the disciplinarian, but even then, it's not my choice to enjoy.
I find it very difficult to find a single man that enjoys anything but discipline spankings. The erotic spanking lovers must all be taken. lol
Sure the erotic type will still hurt, but the pleasure level, and enjoyment, as I see it, is greatly enhanced. The effect of the erotic spanking seem to last much longer, on many senses too.

Erotic spanking happens for us spontaneously in vanilla love making, usually me spanking her - just enough to increase the excitement, but she's got a low pain tolerance.
For me, there's several levels of intensity to enjoy. Sometimes I go for lots of implements over a long time - and I like the idea of feeling it when I sit down for a few days. More normally, I like the pain arc of a proper spanking - and will top it up later the same day to try and repeat the same feeling, and to make it look redder for longer!
I'm sure my tolerance has got higher, but there's still a phase in a good spanking delivered by someone else where I'm surprised by just how much it's hurting!! |

Maybe you could if you enjoyed the pyschology of being punished, but that doesn't appeal to my partner.
I suppose whatever pushes at ones own personal boundaries is becoming an intense spanking, whatever level that is. |
