I will be meeting my mentor very soon and have a question; there is an item (specifically lying) on my list which will receive "more heavy attention". I have a hair and bath brush, he is bringing a belt. Do you think the "worst" implement should be used for this (given the degree of guilt)? If so, which should be used? |

well thats up to you. I would think that if you know you need a spanking, you should know what you deserve. But if it is you 1st punishment than I'd take it easy.

Having not been spanked since childhood, I just don't know. Also, I am nervous. I know I deserve it and I've got that feeling in my gut I used to get while waiting as a child. Thank you for your advise.  |

your welcome, and that feeling is normal. All I can do is tell you that the first time I got a disapline spanking from my husband he used the belt.

Otk, punishment is different for everyone. But in my opinion you dont have to have the biggest, nastiest implement known to man used on you to feel remorse. If your sorry for your mistake and regret lying, then anything he uses will do the trick.
That said...my Dom gave me a leather paddle that is our punishment device. The only time it is used is for a real punishment spanking...not for simple discipline and not for fun. He's only had to use it twice now, but even the mention of it can get me to behave in nothing flat! He doesnt use it hard, or even many times...but punishment takes place mostly in your head, and so it feels to me as if he's killing me. I can play for hours when we're having fun, but just 6 swats with that paddle can bring me to tears.
Pick a toy you like the least...and then have him only use that for punishments. I think you'll see it gets the job done in record time.

OTK..first off welcome to the den. I agree with wolfie that a punishment is just as much mental as the spanking itself. The object of a spanking is not to sustain physical injury, it is behavior modification. I wouldnt suggest an implement for your first punishment, as his hand is probably capable of accomplishing the job. Gauge how that goes before proceeding to implement use. If you feel you must use one, keep in mind anything very rigid and hard will cause bruising faster than a leather belt or paddle will. Good luck and stay safe. |

Otk, if you've NEVER been spanked, the hairbrush and bathbrush are far too extreme, IMO. The hand, if your mentor is experienced, should be sufficient to get the point (pain of a spanking) across.
If a person is going to "really" punish you...for the very first time, and you've never been spanked by them...and they are using a "brush" AND "belt"....RUN!!! Seriously!!!
Like Zippo said in post, the point of the spanking/punishment is NOT to cause physical injury.
I question this "mentor" even suggesting the brushes AND belt, for a first time experience with spanking. Is this person a real life spanker, or only online? Are they also doing a first time spanking?

I agree with the others that the hand is sufficient to bring anyone to tears if done correctly. I had no idea my Dom's hand could turn so hard so darn fast! 
For me though, I dont want to fear my love's hand. If he used it for a serious punishment I might come to do so. Let him warm you up with his hand, then switch to an implement for the actual punishment spanking...perhaps a leather paddle or the hairbrush if used carefully. It will make the discipline part of the spanking stand out more in your mind and I'm sure you will remember it longer as well.
