I was wondering how the rest of you felt about over the knee and over the lap spankings. I feel that a spanking isn't a spanking unless it is bare bottom and over his knee ar across his lap. It just enhances the sit spot and gives a better feeling in both pleasur and punishment situations. What do you think?

Yes, I agree. OTK is great and offers much in the way of opportunity for physical, visual, tactile, and romantic reward.
It's not the only rewarding position, though. Personally, I think kneeling, bent over a table or chair, arrayed over the arm of a sofa, and prostrate on a bed with mid-section propped up by pillows also have much to offer.
And yes, you are absolutely right in saying that it isn't a spanking unless it is bare bottom. A good spanking doesn't have to start out that way, but it sure is best if it ends up that way.

OTK is a fantasic posistion as it not only provides a nice angle but the body contact can bring a sense of intimacy along with it. When using an implement though, I like to switch her posistion; over the arm of the couch, standing and her grabbing her knees offer a stable posistion for the spankee, while allowing freedom of movement for the top to switch sides at will for better total coverage. We tend not to use her flat on a bed with pillows as she tends to contract her muscles too much. One of the more vulnerable posistions is the diaper posistion which also works very well with implements. |

because it prevents the sting on your bottom. On top of panties it does sting, but not nearly as much as bare flesh. It is also safer to spank bare bottom than a covered one. If you have something covering the bottom you cant see if the spanking is to savere or not.

I think over the knee is fantastic, where you can wriggle, but not escape, and have intimate contact with your partner. Seems sort of natural! When it's me being spanked though, I'm a bit big for my female partner's lap, and too strong to hold down, so one great solution is she sits on my shoulders & arms on the bed and spanks me from that direction.} |

It sertanly does Kimbers, but my husband is quit a big strong man and if I swat him I get it twice as hard in return. So I am guessing it wouldn't work for me either.

I think the traditional OTK position is great fun, but it's doesn't work for everyone.
I tend to only put those closest to me OTK, as it's a more intimate position to enjoy. A man's size doesn't interfer with me putting him OTK, but it's more what type of "relationship" we have that'll dictate position.
I also evaluate the situation, and my partner's needs, to see if perhaps he'll need to support his head, so as not to have the blood rush to the wrong head  .
He needs to be comfortable, because he's gonna be there a mighty long time.

I prefer to think of "knee" and "lap" as the same thing. No one will ever convince me that full-length support beneath me as my bare bottom is being methodically charbroiled is anything less than ideal. Stretched out across (edited out) lap on either her couch or her bed, my bottom's predicament is all I care about.
So yeah, I'd count myself as another OTK fanatic. I think it's an ingenious position that leaves the upturned backside as accessible as it could possibly be. And that's a huge part of spanking's hold on me: submitting my naughty derriere in that fashion.

There's defnitely nothing quite like the bottom up in the air over the knees predicament. mmmmm...
It's tricky for my partner to keep me in that predicament - one way to make sure I can't easily get off is to tie my hands behind me - high up so there's nothing in the way of the main action. I could just promise to lie there, but it fuels my heat to feel that I'm held down. |
