I have been wondering why there are so many bottoms as opposed to tops. This seems backwards to me. I would have thought there would be way more men lining up for spanking duty then there would be women willing to receive. Now I realize this is an overgeneralization as there are certainly male bottoms and female tops and this question is not to exclude them by any means. But I do wonder, in general are more women (or bottoms) interested in spankings or is this just the nature of boards on the internet? Is spanking a common fantasy among most men?

Good question Kimbers. I dont know about male fantasies, but I think it is the nature of sites like this that they are populated by primarily females. At least in the US...from what I hear it is the other way around in the UK. There may be a lot of men out there, but they mostly seem to lurk. I dont know why this is.
Perhaps due to childcare issues and women working out of the home, women have more time to get on the computer?

My opinion? I think when it comes to events, more men show up, but when it comes to writing more woman are willing to participate.

Good point Fanny. At the club I go to there are always more men than ladies...which is why ladies get in free on otk night. So you could be right about that.

I have to agree - men/Tops who like to spank I believe want the real life spanking scenario. They are willing to read and lurk but are not interested in interacting in the cyber world.
I believe they are out there, just not willing to participate as much as the bottom is.
The Spice of Life is having my OWN WAY!! A spanking would be nice.

It just goes to prove that the female mind is more imaginative, creative and able to articulate better than the average male. Men just want it to happen, are woman are willing to put in the time and energy. Generally speaking that is.

Yes, those points all do make sense to me actually. I wonder if, in general, more women do have spanking fantasies though? Maybe it just seems that way to me since we don't have any spanking clubs where I live and I have had to convert my vanilla spouse.
