Hi all,
My husband really enjoys me to spank him. So far it has always been with him over my lap and with my hand. Now he wants me to spank him harder, but when I try it seems my hand hurts more than his bottom.
So with Valentine's Day coming up I was thinking of getting him a paddle and giving him the harder spanking he has been requesting. I don't want anything to bruise him, but do want something with a bit of a sting. I love watching his bottom turn pink then red, and would like a paddle that will do this.
Any suggestions for a "first paddle"? I don't want anything too scary, and would like something not too large so I can keep spanking him over my knee/lap.
Suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Personally I would recommend a table tennis bat - light enough for you to wield for a long time but yet packs a sting and has a reasonable coverage that will get your hubby's attention.

I would have to agree with Ruenae8. A ping pong paddle is a good way to go. You can buy one pretty much any place. I bought ours at Wal Mart, and it has really seen some action.

Hi Houjami,
I agree that the quickest and easiest way is to get a ping-pong paddle.
Also, if you cruise the toy stores you may find other types too. I haven't looked in a long time as I have made my own for years. Look for something sturdy, 12 or more inches long and about five inches wide.
I made a new one a few weeks ago based on the old paddle ball games but scaled it up to 15 inches long and with lots of holes. My wife said it makes my bottom red better than anything she has ever used. And it really stings! You may see a current paddle ball game but most of them are too wimpy.
Question for everyone - Some ping pong paddles come with rubber faces and some come with sandpaper faces. I have considered covering my new model with sandpaper for trial purposes. Has anyone had any experiemce with sandpaper paddles?
Houjami, if you want maximum effect, don't tell him what you got. Just set up the spanking and produce the new paddle at the last minute. I can tell you that as a Bottom, that would really take my breath away! And when he starts complaining, give it to him harder.

Thanks for all the suggestions, got some great ideas! However this weekend we were at the Cracker Barrell for lunch, and Bob "found" a little paddle-ball game and decided that it was just what we needed.
We gave it a try when we got home and he REALLY enjoyed it! I had the paddle on the bed and was spanking him with my hand, and he kept asking for the paddle, but I just kept using my hand until he started getting really red. Then I grabbed the paddle and gave him a really hard swat with it, and he moaned in a combination of surprise and pain. That little paddle packs a wallop for its size! Needless to say we had quite an evening of fun after his little "foreplay" spanking.
So now I am thinking about making a Valentine's Day gift basket of spanking toys. I picked up a Ping Pong Paddle, which is a bit thicker than the paddle ball paddle we used this weekend.
Any suggestions as to other toys I can pick up around town to put in my Spanking Valentine's Day basket? I found some warming oil that I plan on using on his bottom after I spank him on Valentine's Day. I know he will really enjoy a through massage with the warming oil after the paddle warming I have planned.

Hi JJ,
I am really pleased that your problem is on its way to a complete solution. I am interested in the brand of the paddle ball game you purchased. As I said earlier, some of the new ones aren't nearly as good for this purpose as the older ones. There are some older ones around as I found a bunch last year in one store. Maybe Cracker Barrel has found them too.
As far as other local toys, if you keep your eyes open as you travel around, you will be surprised at how many normal items can be used effectively for spanking.
I can tell that you are going to make your DH as happy as my wife has made me!
If you would like any more suggestions from the point of view of a guy who has been getting it for many years, please let me know.

Go to your local Lowes home improvement center.
At the paint counter, ask for a few "five gallon pail; 'paint stir sticks'" (just let on that you purchased a pail of paint, and you need to stir it.
These make a great paddle, at no cost. You will want to look them over, they may need sanding.
I prime and paint them...You can get creative with colors and sayings written on them...'HEAT FOR BOBBY'S SEAT; etc. Have fun with this, as it "gets the anticipation stated while working on this project"! I even wrap the handle with leather.
Work on a couple together...then go on a date...of course ending with him over your lap, chair, bed,...well, you get the idea.   |

I for one can say that the paint stick can be very playful or down right "wicked"!!!
Ours has holes drilled down the center...I have no idea where that idea came from... |

I can also agree that the 5 gallon paint stick is evil... We don't have holes in ours but it bad enough without them. Althougth  they do make great fire starters.

I have heard of people (okay one person) refer to the Home Depot as the Dom Depot. I guess figuring that one out is a no-brainer!

All talk about paddles...isn't a hijack!!
ohh and if you decide to drill holes in the paint stick...make sure you get the BIG paint stick that is thicker then then the smaller one and then....
space the holes out if they are to close together....the stick will break!! We broke one...or should I say my husband broke one on my butt....it cracked and then snaped!! |

A great place for paddle-like instruments is the housewares store, Bed Bath and Beyond, William Sonoma, etc. Youd'e be surprise how many hard, flat wooden instruments you will find there, such as pizza paddles, bowl scrapers etc. I call them pervertables.

Great suggestion guys, this is exactly where I hoped the thread would go. This has opened up a whole new activity, going to stores and finding toys!
We'll soon be going to Home Depot where I can "accidently" find the 5 gallon paint paddle. |

I just finished my St. Patrick's day paddle.
I took Tammynx's suggestion and drilled 1/2 inch holes in one of the five gallon pail stir sticks, 1-1/2 inches apart. (Thanks Tammy...I think) I primed and painted it BRIGHT GREEN ! I wrapped the handle with 1/8 inch leather lace.
I picked up the 5 gallon pail--stir sticks at LOWES home improvement center)
It looks great... ...I'm sure it will work...

Another good one for houjami.....when was the last time you had a good look in your kitchen drawers? I for one am a fan of the wooden spoon, spatulas work good, rubber cake icing spatulas, metal spoons sometimes even. Get creative! The hairbrush never fails either....but that for me is usually when I'm REALLY bad. A wooden or plastic bath brush also can have a good effect if he's looking for intensity. The only thing I can't stand (or maybe I like it but it drives me crazy) is when my BF will inadvertently flip the brush over and start massaging my bum with the bristles. It drives me nuts!!! In a good way. Hope this helps. P.S. I use a pingpong paddle too, it works wonders.
