Does anyone have any good ways to minimize the noise of a spanking in a hotel room? Any suggestions on how to cover up what is going on? I already thought about putting a blanket at the bottom of the door, since you can see light under the door, I am guessing you can hear because of the gap too. I have some music I can play, in fact I have a CD that gives the top plenty of opportunity to just follow the beat...no pund intended...or maybe there is but does anyone else have any suggestions? If I am lucky, tomorrow should be an opportunity to really get a warm seat but it will probably be during the day. Thanks for any help you can give me! This session is long overdue. Best wishes to all, Sassy

Hey Sassy...
I have been spanked by hubby in quite a few hotels - and to tell you the truth, I never really thought about the noise ! (maybe I should!). Music is a great idea - and we use leather paddles. I don't know if that cuts down on the "spanking" noise - but we sure do like them! I think it depends on the spanking - are you a very vocal spankee? Then maybe the blanket at the bottom of the door is a good idea too....most of our hotel spankings have been erotic, not disciplinary (not sure if that makes a difference or not).
If you do make a lot of noise, and someone hears - you would hate to have management knocking at your door!!
I am sure someone in the Den might have an idea or two for you though! Good luck to you!

Canes are quiet, so are "Loop Johnny" whips.

Hmmm... I have to say Sassy, I don't worry about it. But like Pink, ours have been erotic spankings, and the only noise is his hand on my bottom. No one has complained yet.

Thank you all; it means the world to me that you have given me your advice. It would be disciplinary; I have been getting away with a whole lot lately. I am not that verbal; well I am verbal just not in a loud way I have some leather implements here, as well as some wooden ones. The only reason I am worrying about the hotel staff is because I have been here for 1-1/2 weeks and will remain here until Friday. I actually don't give a hoot about the people on either side of me because they are noisey in their own right. I figure if someone knocks on the door, I will run into the bathroom and he can answer it LOL I trust him completely, he was my previsous disciplinarian. Where I am living now, I don't have one and don't think I will ever find the right one. Again, thanks a million. Spank or be spanked often but always safely...Sincerely, Sassy

If you don't have canes or a Loop Johnny a dowell rod is quiet and most definately gets the point across. You said it will probably be during the day, maybe it can be after people check out and before the next check in's. Depending on the kind of hotel your in. Then you don't have to worry about as many people. Although I really wouldn't worry to much about noise if it's what you need and want then thats all that matters. Best Wishes

ok...call me nosy......but it's killing me and I gotta ask..............

Your profile says you are married. Am I correct in assuming that your disciplinarian is not your husband?

Verbalization = gag - even if you are not into that, screaming into a pillow cuts down a lot.

Smacking sounds - light whippy implements are quieter - the whish and or whistle is not really that loud though is too much for in a house with kids or relatives. Great time to try out the rod on the blinds – except if you break it. (Don’t steal it either, like somebody we all know)

Suggest if you are worried about getting caught you consider keeping it "interruptible" which is a term I use for a play session where we know we may be interrupted - ie if parents are coming for supper in 10 min. and just to make life interesting you decide to zip upstairs for a quickie.... More or less prepare for an interruption - bare only what's necessary, keep toys etc put away except the one in use, have a brush or comb handy and an excuse ready for answering the door slowly - the bottom can always hide in bathroom to become presentable.

Even if some busy-body suspects someone is being abused, no one is going to check your bottom if your face is presentable.

Other noise covering options available in most hotel rooms - TV, alarm radio, shower, toilet, fill bathtub. Also noise transmission from bathroom may be appear to be less than from room in general but be careful since ventilation and piping can carry sound.

Also if the top keeps a certain well known rhythm any overheard noise will assumed to be that other famous activity. Ie you can pound the headboard into the wall at that frequency and nobody will interrupt – listen avidly yes, but not likely interrupt. ‘Course can’t keep that up too long lol.

And hotel staff in general have seen it all and are pretty discrete. Avoid mornings from about 8:00 to 11:00 and use “Do not disturb sign” to discourage maid service, and avoiding really quiet times like late at night is obvious too. Hotel rooms tend to be pretty empty from about 6:00 to 10:00 PM except for people checking in then going back out to supper or for the evening. At that time anybody around is moving themselve so does not notice your noise as much.

Hi Pink, or should I call you nosey? Seriously, I am just kidding. I am married and I am away from home; over 600 miles from home. My disciplinarian is one that I have had for many years; actually before I even met my Husband. My Husband knows that I am to "taken in hand" while I am here. I posted my problem with my situation under another topic called I am not new to the OTK world or something like that. A girl has to do what a girl has to do, ya know?
And I hope you get spanked for your question (giggle) Stay well, Sassy

Hi Peter,
Wow, you are full of helpful information and I thank you very much. I actually am pretty friendly with the front desk personnel so I had my room service at 8 a.m. I will definitely use some of your advice and I sincerely appreciate your feedback. Have a GREAT day! Thanks again, Sassy}

Hey Pink,

Sorry I gave you the wrong info...I posted under the heading of I am confused and frustrated. I have to admit I was shocked not to have had anyone reply to that post. Anyways, just to assure you, I am not putting my marriage in jeopardy at all with my sessions here; I believe honesty is the best policy so I told my Husband of my intentions before I came here and he did not have a problem with it at all. I still hope you get a spanking

Sassy, I am sorry to hear that you are shocked about the lack of response to your other thread. I can only tell you that in the past members have added remarks on subjects they were not experienced in and it lead to more confusion. A request was made that if you had no personal knowledge of a situation, it may be better to leave the question to someone who could give some first hand information.

So, it was not that members ignored your question, it was likely just that no one at the time had enough experience to feel comfortable in responding.

Fanny, thank you for taking the time to advise me of the situation. It makes me feel a lot better. I truly love this site and love reading all the posts. I do realize that I am the only one who can do anything about my situation and once I go back home I will have to come up with a solution.
I think everyone here at the Den is great and I appreciate all the help I got about the hotel.
Stay well, Sassy
