Okay, I just had one of those moments in life that come along far too rarely. I think I just found out my boss is a spanko. I work in a fairly young, fun office. This summer we have an intern who keeps wanting to fight. So we go back and forth play fighting and “boxing” with each other. She just stood up and challenged me with “Let’s go!” I jumped up, grabbing the closest thing to me, which happened to be a 15 inch wooden ruler and walked out of my office with it. During all this my boss walks out of her office to the printer with a big smile on her face and says, “Hey, at least he grabbed a ruler and not a paddle” WHAT???!!! Run that by me again. I just smiled at her as I walked back to my office and she gives me a little wink. Is this happening? Could she be? Awesome. My job just got a lot better.
Okay, let’s here them. Any and all stories of the sort on these great accidental discoveries.

Are you are actually getting paid for this job? I guess I won't be feeling sorry for you working overtime! Wrestling with interns, sharing winks with your boss. This should be reported!!

I had a Great Discovery of my own at work today.
I was covering the phones in my office, and a co-worker was supposed to come in to relieve me. This is a 'boiler room' kind of real estate office, where everyone can hear everything - open area.
She came in, and loudly apologized for being late. "Sorry I'm late!" she says, and looks at the clock, and follows with, "One minute!"
I look up at the clock, and say, "Two minutes. That's two swats!"
Without missing a beat, she blurts out, "OK, five minutes then!"
LOL! Whoa, do I work in that kind of workplace too? I could hardly contain myself!
