What was it like the first time you told a parnter you liked to give/receive spankings? (If you ever have...)

I never have. Never needed to, actions speak volumes more than words. 
This is a challange, I am attempting to keep my name as last poster in all rooms for as long as I can. Silly, Sunday afternoon play time!!

My ex.....well when I told him....the response was not good. And it kept me quiet for a long time. When I confided in G (present partner) he was totally ok.
I am not suggesting this...please everyone don't get mad....but the truth is that when I told G I had 5 glasses of wine that night & it was after some really hot sex.
I wasn't fearful of his reaction. I was..affected
by my ex's reaction.
I haven't seen you post before so let me just say WELCOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This site has been so helpful to me in being able to become more comfortable about talking about it with G.

On the idea of how to tell one's partner about it,this worked for me but may not work for everyone. I got their intrest in my play box for about a week and then opened it up for her to see.She took to spanking me like a duck to water. |

It took me YEARS to tell my husband. Silly of me, since he has no problem with it. He had the normal reservations about "hurting" me, but he seems to have gotten over them (mighty fond of a certain rubber strap).
I had a few halting starts...which he didn't take seriously. Then I just came out and told him that I would like him to spank me. That it's a HUGE turn on for me. Then I squeaked "ofcourseyoudon'thavetoifyoudon'twanttoorifyouthinkit'sweirdoranything". (Oh yeah...I am woman...hear me roar. Not.) 
Um...I also think it was helpful that I mentioned that my ex-boyfriend used to spank me. All the time. And that I loved it.
If memory serves...it's best to remain calm and noncommittal when said vanilla hubby demands to know how one could feel comfortable telling "some boyfriend" about this when one was "just a kid", but not, apparently, "YOUR HUSBAND!!!!!"

I've never had to tell a partner...I kept it to myself for 45 years, then joined a spanking site like this one. Everyone there knew I was into it just like them, and the Dom I have now didnt need to be told at all.

I told my hubby when we were courting (now thats a word you don't here often these days - and shows my age!) I sweet 16 & I gave him a story to read were the g/f went OTK. He threw the book down and said: I'm not doing that! I FELT LIKE A FREAK! We were together for 27yrs all told, but in the end I couldn't suppress my needs any longer so we parted 
That was 4yrs ago, were still friends though
