I wanted to let you all know that the links I had provided in previous threads to sites that sold the infamous BC paddleball (aka Cracker Barrel paddle) are no longer valid. The manufacturer has gone out of business and the paddles are next to impossible to find now.
Also, the bath brush that the Vermont Country Store has always offered on their site is now a plastic brush and not the classic heavy wooden brush they used to offer. I hope this is a temporary thing because that plastic brush just isn't what you'd expect from them.
Now I'm not asking for you all to start posting links to sites that offer equivalent toys, that's not what I'm looking for. As you all know, I don't allow links to commercial sites without permission. But if you want to PM me with any info on a reliable site that you've had success with, that would be helpful.
I'm just letting you know my old links don't work and I have nothing to offer right now as an alternative. Sorry about that. Those were some awesome spanko toys and classics in most of our minds.
I may have to start making my own paddleball style paddles. I have the tools, I just need to get some motivation. I guess there is the anniversary contest in a couple of months to get ready for...
*Update* The Vermont Country Store (www.vermontcountrystore.com) has the bath brush back! Just go to the site and search for "bath brush" and the wooden brush is there along with the plastic one. Yay! The brush is back!

I've posted pics of the paddles we have made in other threads. It's easy!
And they sting like a SOB!!!
He insists on "testing" each one for "quality assurance"

I found something on Spencer's Online that might fit here. It's called The Naughty Ruler. It's a regular ruler, with a leather grip.
I saved a pic of the ruler and the text.
"Whether you're a principal, teacher or a nun, this is the "traditional" educator's disciplinary weapon of choice. Striking a sharp sting into the hearts and bums of any misbehaving individual. Do you measure up? At 12-inches, there's enough wooden paddle to reprimand any naughty girl or boy."

The info is fine, Jeni! I just didn't want any links posted to sites.
We have one of these we bought from another company and it's a little too light-weight to be used seriously. I was disappointed, too, because I thought it was a cool toy. We've barely used it because we're afraid it'll break and I hate it when toys break when being used on me. 
And no comments about my iron bottom, please!

It looks strong. I'm going to have to see if the Spencers in the mall in Bowling Green has one.
Of course, you could always make your own version. Just take a strong, wooden ruler that you trust, and wrap it with leather --or even strong tape, like duct tape-- and you have the same thing.}

I just bought it today.
The back of the cardboard piece that it was attached says:
Naughty Ruler
Do you have enough lead in your pencil to get an "A" on the test to come to the head of the class?
Be the envy of the other students as the teacher leads you with a firm hand. Don't be a bad teacher's pet otherwise you'll be getting a spanking. Bend over the desk and give the teach your apple to make sure you measure up and graduate with special honors "mega-come-loud ahhh....."
It' thick, with the sentence: do you measure up? on the back.
