This question is not related only to pain coming from any kind of spanking, but to every kind of pain you have experienced in your life, including spanking.

I had never cried because of physical pain and I thought I would have never till sometime ago (at 38) after stubbing my toes against a hidden stone: the pain was sudden, unexpected and excruciating! I hate to show my weakness in front of other people, especially if younger then me, so I tried very hard to fight back the tears. For some moments I succeeded, really fighting very hard, but after a while the pain became more then excruciating and I couldn't help bursting into tears. Result: three toes and some small bones broken... but I felt ashamed to look such a crybaby!

Let me know if you had similar experiences and what do you think of my reaction, please.

The birth of my first child was a difficult delivery, I pushed for almost 3 hours and lot more gory details i'll leave out, (just becouse they make me shudder to remember them )
The birth was bad enough, but the first week after.........I thought I was gonna die! I cried more than once that week due to pain.

Call me to stoic or too stubborn, but I have learned to suck up the pain. I am not advocating it, but as a cancer patient I have learned that crying or wincing only make the procedure take longer. I went through one procedure that actually made me pass out from the pain. Thank goodness a doctor was paying attention and the next thing I knew I had several doctors and nurses checking my stats. Afterwards, they continued the procedure, I would have rather stayed in a state of unconsciousness. Oh well, it kinda makes a sound spanking a pleasant walk in the park. NOT!!!

I,ve often asked myself what my real tolerance for pain is.I have skin cancer which doesn,t hurt.I,ve broken bones 4 times and never felt it as more than aches.I,ve had my head sewed too many times to count and outside of the flash of white pain you feel when you,ve been hit never felt as I think I would if I had a painful type of cancer.I wonder if you could put pain on a scale from 1 to 10 what we,re really capable of withstanding before we ask to be put to sleep.Sorry maybe I,ve gotten off track.

Wow, Fanny and Buen I am sorry for what you two have had to go through, esp you Fanny.

I have leanned as well that wincing and crying during medical procedures only makes it take longer, although I have never had anything so bad as to pass out from the pain, and I try my best and I don't wince so much, but I have been known to have tears streaming down my face sometimes.

I cried when I broke my ankle....it hurt like hell. Then I missed my girls dance recital because I was getting x-rayed and that made me cry all over again. Sometimes life just isn't fair....and yep...I cry!!

I cry at cornflakes commercials.

Seriously tho, yes I cry from pain cos I'm a wussy. I have never cried from a spanking tho. I cried when I broke my ankle cos that hurt!! I cried when I fell and got a compressed syatic nerve. I cry at sad parts of movies. I cry when my feelings get hurt. I wear my heart on my sleeve. I cried when I had a malignant tumor and had chemo. It made me feel so sick. I cried when my hair fell out. But I'm better now and have been clear for 4 years. One more year for that final clear!

But don't feel sorry for me. I hate that. I'm still breathing and kicking ass when the mood takes me.
Take my heart and soul. But please don't step on it, it breaks easily.

I do not cry from spankings but I do tear up from other forms of physical pain, like a door closing on my finger. With the spanking I am expecting the pain, so I can mentally prepare for it, but when something else happens, without warning then it causes the tears. Yeah I'm emotional crier as well, I have to stay away from the TV show Extreme Makeover or I'm a mess lol.

I cried when I found out I had cervical cancer at age 19. I didn't cry from the procedures (biopsy and the freezing). It is all gone now I caught it very early. I cried like a baby when I had all four wisdom teeth taken out at once. That hurt! I haven't cried from a spanking but that's probably because I am not experianced and Jay and I are just starting. I do cry everytime at the TV when someone does something nice for someone else. Like when the some of the people from hurricane Katrina got thier pets back after so long, yep hearing a story about how much the dog meant to them and to see them get it back had me to tears in an instant.

I've never cried from a spanking. That only happens during "love making."

I cry all the time for emotional reasons - like cheesy Christmas movies, comercials, etc. But I don't cry from physical pain, be it spanking or migraines, or other injuries. I have been known to shed tears while in pain, but of frustration with the situation going on - like not being able to dress myself, being stuck at home when I wanted to be out, etc.

Oh yes, I can tolerate physical pain very well, but emotional stimulation of any kind? Pass the box of tissues please, the extra large size.

I guess I have a high pain tolerance - went thru 2 child-births (only tears of joy), dental surgery (ouchie), and a hysterectomy for uterine cancer....no tears for physical pain.........

but the emotional end? Fanny, pass that box of tissues my way!
