I do perfer the bottom but just yesterday my other half did let me spank him. He was annoying me 
So I figured if i was bratty it would get me one so I picked up the brush and gave him a good whack and he let me do it. Now he knows how it feels lol. |

That is just what I mean...! How can you be JUST and spanker if you have never felt what your dishing out. I think its very fair, if your going to give it, then know what it feels like. |

Again, I beg to differ. I am not a switch nor is my husband. That is not to say that he has no idea what pain feels like. We live a DD lifestyle by agreement, so we do what feels right for us. In our relationship it would upset our balance of orderliness to switch. That is not to say that DD can't work well in another couples switch relationship. I don't judge and therefore don't like others to declare what is fair or not fair in my personal life.
I don't need to have a pot of boiling water poured on me in order to know it is not what I want.

We actually haven't established rules yet.(remember i said yet). It was just a play session between him and I. I think it is ok as long as you can separate play from serious stuff. I do want him to dominate me. But we are two lighthearted and humerous people. We fine humor in anything and everything. Its is just our character. I can spank him playfully and still know he is the boss. I would never spank him for punishment. We don't switch. I do agree with Fanny it depends on your relationship and what works for you. Just with us I know someday he will be trying to punish me and someone will say something funny, it is just our nature. |

Just so you all know, since Slipperings has hijacked his own thread, I don't mind going off topic at this point.
Slipperings, it wouldn't do Dan (my partner) a bit of good to know what any toy feels like to him because he's not the one who likes to be spanked. I'm the one who enjoys being spanked, I'm the masochist in this relationship, not him. He doesn't enjoy pain in the least so any toy isn't going to feel good to him...but it might to me! How would knowing how much a tawse stings do any good to him when he can't process that sensation the way I do?
Besides, depending on my mood and the timing, a toy that felt like too much last week can feel just right this week, and vice versa. Dan has to depend on my reactions (verbal and non-verbal) to gauge how any implement affects me on any given day. And knowing how a toy feels to him isn't going to help him at all at that point.
That said, I'd never spank Dan. |

I am a bottom by nature. I have given a brat friend of mine a good walloping tho cos she deserved it! And did it feel GOOD to give her what for!!
Other than that, I don't spank anyone else. In the past I did but not anymore. In my case, it's better to receive than to give.
Not that I haven't threatened my hubby several times. But that's not likely to ever happen.

Hey again Slipperings:
I think that I could have enjoyed "topping" a man in the past as long as:
a. It was not an over the knee type arrangement because I am small and it would just be too silly
b. It was not to my husband because he is totally not machochistic and is way too alpha male-ish
c. If I got to totally dress up and do the whole BDSM thing, complete with masks and the dungeon.
So - yes in acting out a fantasy, I might have liked it. Not as a lifestyle, but just to see what kind of "endorphins" I might have gotten from the whole scene. Would have needed some "slaves" to do some of the "hoisting" but they could have been part of the whole production too.
Not sure if I would have felt sexually turned on by it during the stroking....but I love theatrical scenes, role-playing and such, so I probably would have gotten some sort of gratification. After I released the "prisoner" I don't really know if I'd want him or not. Something to think about. Interesting topic. |

My hubby said he was curious about what it felt like, so we tried it once. That was enough for both of us to know that we have clear boundries on this - He spanks me, and that's it.
If it was something that had worked for us, I'm sure we'd find a way to sort that out. |
