I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on a feeling of mine that bottoms are harder to find than tops so who really has the upper hand in the scening.
In the sane environment the bottom can control the outcome and the ending more than the top.

Interesting point Sondra, but there are a whole lot of bottoms out there looking for tops, especially males looking for female tops.
Maybe in a sane environment, but where the heck do you find that?  Certainly not in my house!

I don't know anything about scenes...but...
If a spanking at out house is erotic in nature, we both input where, how, with what, etc.....
BUT if it is punishment,  the spanker has control as judge, jury, and executioner ! 
Once the offence has been exposed, you are guilty, and expected to co-operate, what ever the punisher has in store for you. 
We find that this greatly improves our communication, and respect for each other. 
Good spankings are SUPPOSED to hurt !
