I am currently reading a book by Marty Klein, Ph.D., called Beyond Orgasm: Dare to Be Honest About the Sex You Really Want. It actually covers secrecy, feeling guilty about your desires, and how to overcome it. How to talk to your partner and why you should. It's a quick read. Chapters Include: "The High Cost of Secrecy, Sexual Secrets, and Accepting Yourself-Taking A Chance." It even asks the question, is it fair to not tell your partner. Not doing so "dampens your desire, limits the intimacy, undermines the pleasure...etc." The book is $14.95 and well worth it for those who are hesitant to bring it up. Just wanted to pass it along.

Thanks for the information Nb, but next time you really should ask Bethie about advertising something like this. It may be in conflict with out sponsers.
Also, we don't want people joining as members just so they can get free advertisement. I am not suggesting you are trying to sell this book, but others may get that implication

Oh, and I am not at all affiliated with author or book. Just so you know. Just noticed a few of us have trouble coming out and telling our partners and this book really puts it in a different light.

Thanks Nd, you are a very good newbie (better watch that or you may not get spanked enough!) I'm glad that you made it clear that Bethie approved this in advance.  As long as we are all on the same page, things are all good. Plus, the information will be helpful to many others.

she was just telling us about a book she read - not sending us to any website where to buy it so I would say that was an EXCELLENT book review, and thank you for sharing it with us.
Meybe Bethie would consider a movie/book review section? Sans links to anywhere...

Calm down Weasel, that has already been addressed. Members need to get into the habit of reading ALL of the posts before they add on something that has already been solved.
