My BF tells me I am getting off on the humiliation. I'm embarassed to say that may be true. Why is that? I think I need a therapist. Am I going crazy?

if you need a shrink then I guess I do too, my spankings are erotic role play and sometimes humiliation is part of it, but my 40 year old brain says it's time to stop worrying about it and just enjoy the great releationship I have with my Hubby, it took me 36 yeaars to find him so now it is time to enjoy and just let things happen on their own.
my name says it all

Pamela, it doesn't matter what gets you off, as long as you do.

For some, humiliation is a BIG part of spanking.
For others it isn't. Finding out what you like and what turns you on...I think thats a good thing!!

Meybe he was trying to humiliate you to help you feel what you want to feel since you even agree that you are embarrassed to admit it. You probably don't need a shrink. To some, the humiliation is part of it. Don't feel bad about something that makes you feel what you want to feel!
Some day you'll spank me... er thank me for this!

Everybody has different tastes,no matter what we are into. You are not crazy, you have found something that turns you on,that's a good thing.
Like the others if you need a therapist then I guess we all do.
Don't be embarrassed either as admitting what you like is not a crime.

One of the ways that I explain D/s spanking world
etc. is that the world as a whole could be considered a " church" and each different area
of the scene would be called a " pew". To me, it is more important to find a person in the same pew than it is to worry and wonder about those into things that you aren't into. Any one who is into this site is a member of the " church", but not each member is in the same " pew" as others. Some like OTK only, some like paddles, others like canes and leather and the list goes on. Humilation works for some and doesn't for others
as does a laundry list of things that some people are comfortable with and others aren't. Work more on finding someone in your " pew" rather than reading and getting more confused as to what is acceptable and what is not. If YOU accept it is acceptable, if you do not is in NOT acceptable and it can be that cut and dry. You can always experiment with new ideas, just listen and be attentive and if you are on the receiving end, PLEASE have your safe word handy to stop the action if it is not right for you. When treading into new waters, go slowly and see how things progress.

I have felt the same way more times than I can count. It is a big part of things for me though. I need it to be more than just physical, it has to get to me on an emotional level too, and when I reach that stage almost anything can trigger shame and humiliation, even something as simple as him stopping to rub my back and say I Love You. Don't frustrate yourself trying to figure it out, or put yourself down for feeling that way. Just accept is as another ingredient in the recipie of your life.
I know as strange as this might sound, there are way to induce those feelings in a loving way. I am lucky to have a husband who understands this and accepts it and me as is. I wish for you that same good fortune, although it takes time and commuication to get there. We have been at this 7 years and still have a lot to discover and figure our way through, it has not always been easy, but it sure has been worth it.
