You may or may not remember that I introduced myself a couple weeks ago. I've been lurking. Reading and reading. I feel like I know all of you and have so appreciated all the insights and such that you offer.
My hubby and I have known for a while that we enjoy spanking. Doesn't matter if it's sexual or discipline... we LIKE it. We've stifled it though due to the fact that we had older children in the house. We'd be mortified if they heard or knew of this. Now though the house is ours. 
I even started a blog today and have been reading many many blogs belonging to other people. I guess I just wanted to thank you all for your inspiration - even if you are unaware that you are supplying it. Rest assured there are probably many like myself who are afraid to jump in here but who are inspired by you all. My fear stems from the fact that my husband and I both work in professions where this lifestyle would be seriously frowned upon... especially in this day and age. I don't want to be "found out." In fact, even though I know it's pretty much impossible for you all to know WHO I am, I still feel as though someone knows. I'm getting better though because I do realize that what goes on between my husband and myself is no one's business, yes? (feel free to offer some assurance)
And tonight I'm getting the spanking of a lifetime. We're celebrating!!

 Please feel assured! You are right - what happens between you and your hubby is your business. I know how taxing it can be - when you think someone might find out. I am glad that you feel confident enough to post now  This is a wonderful site with lots of great people.

I'm glad to hear that you feel comfortable enough to post here!!
My husband and I really LIKE spanking too. We also have a teenager in the house so we know all about keeping it quiet and wating till she is out.
I'm with you...I don't really want to be "found" out by most people either. I've made friends here though that know the "real me". It makes me feel good to know that I can come here and post and read and know that I'm not alone!!

Thank you both. I'm honestly fine with the lifestyle. In fact, I love it. In the early years of my marriage, I suggested it once and my husband laughed, thinking I was kidding. Then about 5 years ago, I forgot to clear the history on the computer after going to a number of spanking sites. He found them and that opened up an honest discussion finally. We've played around for 5 years when opportunity arrose but now we're finding that we want to get a bit more serious. Correction... a LOT more serious. I'm not sure where it's headed but I'm open to nearly anything.
And about tonight... did I mention that today's my birthday??  |

I can completely related with what you are saying. We have 6 children and "playing" around them forces you to have a lot of creativity. My husband's job would not be at stake is someone found at about our lifestyle, but mine would be diasterous. I happen to counsel abused woman and am a courtroom advocate. I also volunteer at the kids elementary school and our church.
Yep, I'd be run out of town for sure!!

It's nice to hear from others who understand the fear I have. It's certainly not enough to dictate what we do in the privacy of our home but it's enough to make us cautious when it comes to others finding out. We live in town where homes are close together. I worry about the neighbors hearing and turning us in... although, I don't think that would get very far because people who know us would never believe it. And they certainly wouldn't believe our neighbors over us. I would just deny it.

I don't suppose you'd be referring to the details of the cookout my daughter and her new husband invited us to? They just bought a grill and want to try it out for my birthday. Not today though!!

Actually the BBQ will take place later in the week. As for last night.... we went out for dinner. There's absolutely nothing like a "chat" over dinner about what is going to take place later to make one feel rather submissive, yes?
It all started out pretty playful (in the shower - nothing like being spanked on a wet bottom) but soon turned more serious. It was glorious. I'll see if I can muster up more specific details in my blog. Check there later if you like!!

Sounds like you have a good thing going......a partner that understands and shares your fanticies, etc.
Have you ever sat down with your spanker over dinner, with a note pad and discussed what you want from your DD relationship ?
Discuss everything from: what implements do we use?...how much, and how hard.............What do I get spanked for, and or how do I ask ?....Will you both be subject to a good spanking... Is one time better than another....Positions, positions, and what positions ?...Where do I get it in the home?......Away from home?...........Do I have any say after pronouncement is made ? ...Then ENJOY!
It is always best to have predictable consequences!
Then keep the notepad, wait two or three months, and review...make changes...and ENJOY !

Those are all good discussions. My hubby and I do talk about it and pretty much I leave the ball in his court. I am one of these ones who has too much authority in the work place and need someone to just take over. My husband is glad to meet my needs. And no, spanking is not a two way street. He feels no need to be spanked and I feel no need to spank him.
He does a great job letting me know when it's time, etc. It's nice to just trust him with it. He somehow just always knows.
