The Spanking Den is officially two years old and to celebrate we're going to have three fun contests! I encourage everyone to enter as many of these as you can and have fun with it.
For starters, let me tell you what our Grand Prize is, it's the Son of Buster paddle from Leather Thorn Paddles!
John did a wonderful job with this beauty and I can't wait to see who wins it. To win this paddle, you'll have to enter the main contest which we're calling the "Implement Crazy" contest. The details are in the thread with that name. There are also other prizes in that contest so even if you don't win the grand prize, you might win another implement. 
For those of you who aren't "implement crazy" (or even if you are), I have an another contest offer. The winners of this contest will receive spanko grab bags. I've put the details in the thread called "Spanko Grab Bag Contest."
The third contest is a fun one that I'm calling "Spanko Fill-In-The-Blank." You'll find the details in that area as well as the prize info.
Have fun with this and enter as many times as you want. It's a celebration!

I planned to start this last Friday but I had some technical difficulties which I just realized haven't been sorted out just yet. Grrr!
I'll post all the details for entering the contests Wednesday evening. Sorry for the delay! I just thought I had this ready to go.

I just realized that another project is going to keep me busy for the next few days. I don't want to end the contest and make y'all wait until I can find time to have the drawings, that wouldn't be any fun!
I've decided the only fair thing to do is to keep the contest open until midnight Pacific US time Wednesday. I'll check the entries, do the drawings, then annouce the winners on Friday.
So keep posting entries and good luck to everyone! |

I knew I was sleepy when I posted this last night! Midnytedreams pointed out to me that he didn't enter the Fill-In-The-Blank contest in which I awarded him a runners-up prize for. I've checked and now I see that I made an error when reading two of the names on the paper I'd written the results on. I somehow transposed the two last names on lists of runners-up in the Grab Bag contest and the Fill-In-The-Blank contest. I wrote the lists side by side and switched them when I was typing. Sorry!
I've corrected it now but if either Chrissiebrat or Midnytedreams (that's who got switched) wants one of the prizes from the other group, they're quite welcome to make that exchange.
Sorry, about that everyone! I guess I just looked at the paper wrong with my sleepy eyes. Luckily I saved the paper I wrote it all down on and everything else is exactly as I wrote it down. I still can't believe I transposed those two!  |

To all, sorry I haven't been around the last couple of days. I've been dragging a bit from a stupid ear infection. I didn't even crawl out of bed until almost 1pm today. I don't feel bad, and every once in a while I get a burst of energy, but for the most part, I'm just dragging around.
Anyway, I'm slowly getting the prizes together and sending them to the post office. Monday being a holiday kinda slowed down the works, too. But if I have your address, they'll be in the mail asap.
Okay, off to bed, I've been awake for almost 12 whole hours. LOL  |

To all the winners, I have to apologize for not getting all the prizes in the mail yet. I've been fighting a middle-ear infection that is driving me crazy...or crazier depending on your opinion!
No worries though. I've been to my dr for drugs (that pretty much didn't work) and now I'm waiting to see the specialist. In the meantime, I'm too dizzy to go out if I don't make the meds, and too sleepy if I do take the meds. So I've been stuck inside and getting nothing done. On the upside, I am getting better at Suduko.

I'd get Dan to help, but not only would it get too confusing, you guys really don't want what he'd put in with your prizes. He wanted to mix up some kind of hot, scary potion and label it his "after-care" special, but I wouldn't let him. He's got some evil ideas, I tell ya! Worse than my lovely mats.
Hey, who wants a mat? They're nice vinyl mats with little cleats to make them interesting for those special times when a bottom needs time to contemplate life.

yippeeee!!! My package arrived today!!! THANKS BETHIE!!! Hubby loves the paddle, I am partial to the aloe lotion - and we are setting aside Saturday night to watch the DVD!! Ohhhhh...and the stickers are now on my fridge~~~~

Midnytedreams, sorry, but some of the packages didn't get out until late last week and a few haven't made it to the post office yet. I think yours may be in the pile by my couch actually.
I've been having to take care of some medical issues and that involved some travel (besides the fact that I'm just not feeling well) so I'm way behind on everything here. I'll have everything in the mail by the end of this week though if nothing crazy happens.

Bethie, I find it incredible, the effort time and yes, money you put into this. It would be a lie to say the contest, and the fun I had writing my two entries was not the reason to come here, but I have found a very good place, with wonderful people. I can not thank you enough.
It is much more important that you take care of yourself, get well, and keep this marvelous forum ticking along. As long as I know the posty gremlins have not swallowed my prize I am happy! (I must admit, the wife is begining to laugh at my eagerness to check the mail, but he who laughs last laughs best!!) |

Thanks, Midntye and Peter! I'm feeling much better but I'm having to take it slower than I'd like, so catching up with everything is going a lot slower than I'd thought. But the last of the prizes should be out by Saturday.
Unless I miss closing time at the post office again. I've done that twice now. We have more than one so I get their hours confused.
I'm just glad I was feeling well when I took the lastest batch in (I'm doing this in small groups to avoid being overwhelmed btw). I went into the post office with my packages all packed up nice and ready to be mailed but they've changed some of their shipping which I was unaware of when I boxed up some of my stuff.
One of the more eager postal workers said it'd be better if I repacked one of my packages into a different type of box, went ahead and pulled out a new box, and proceeded to set me up right there at the counter to repack in front of about 8 people waiting in line.
I balked but the clerk kept insisting because it would only cost about half the price, ripped open the end of my packed box with some scissors, handed me the new box along with my opened one, and then took the next person in line. Somehow I got everything repacked without dropping the contents all over the floor and handed the package back over to the clerk. After much punching of buttons and more paperwork, we got it all sorted out.
And you know what the kicker of it all is? When the clerk was done calculating postage, I saved a whopping $4.00 on shipping. The box that was destroyed with the scissors cost me almost $3.00 so I ended up saving about a dollar. Yup, all of that for a whole buck!
Here's my cat friend to say how I felt because I'm too much of a lady to say it.

I've been watching the mailbox but nothing yet. I pm'd my info to you may 27 in reply to a note you sent me - did you get it bethie? I won't be needing a "care package" for a while since my sweetie's next trip this way won't be til August but things have disappeared from my rural mailbox before so I was just wondering if you'd sent my prize or not!

Hey, Bethie. Sucks being sick, doesn't it? Actually, I think I might be able to use one of those mats. My feet have the most horrendous tinea, perhaps a few minutes rubbing per day on one of them will help. And perhaps a short session on one of them after the bathbrush. By the way, I'm blaming customs for it taking so long. Last time I was meant to get a parcel from the states, it didn't get there until three months had passed.
Still, I'm so glad you're feeling better, now. I hate being sick, and earache is the WORST. (And I'm hearing impaired, so I know what I'm talking about!) |

Oh, I just got it yesterday!
Thank you bethie! Haven't got to try the aloe for reasons intended (and probably won't for a month or so) but it feels SOOO good on my dry hands!
Will definitely hang the "date night" sign out on the gate when my guy comes a-visiting to keep the nosy neighbor at bay!

Spanking_deserved and anyone else who hasn't received their package yet (except for maybe the Canadians whose packages inadvertently didn't get shipped priority), it should be there by next week. Due to an unforseen event, I didn't get caught up as quickly as I'd planned. Sorry!
Sorry, especially to the Canadians among y'all. What can I say? That postal clerk made me crazier than I usally am. And I keep going back!
Yes, it's true, Tammy has been exceedingly patient with me, bless her heart. She hasn't even hinted that she's waiting anxiously patiently for her package to arrive.

The "other surprises" were supposed to be the questionaires but I never quite got that going. You know how it is!
If you're really wanting another surprise, Fanny, I can send you one of my fun mats! That'd be a real surprise don't you think?

I just think it's amazing how everyone seems to want to suggest that someone else wants one of those mats, but no one wants it for themsleves. And I include myself in the not wanting one!
But on a totally different note, I am glad to know that there's a reason for the delay in my package's arrival that does not mean that the postal people stole it. |

Actually, my bottom contemplates life on a continual basis. I don't think it needs a mat to remind it to. But, any pain pills will be gladly accepted.
As for surprises, I was hoping to see Tammy jump out of a cake yelling SURPRISE!!! while she is naked.

Yipee!!! I got mine today. Hubby was with me when I opened it so of course he had to try out the brush. (it stings) The lotion is great and so are the magnets. Thanks so much Bethie for the great contest and prizes. Glad your feeling better. |

I got it yesterday, and we only had time for a couple quick swats to trial it out this morning. But first impressions are that it's our newest "most intense" toy, our prettiest one thanks to you, and a welcome addition to the collection. We're planning a longer trial tonight, I think.  |

Darling Bethie. I am sorry I haven't been able to post for a while, but you know how temperamental technology is. The brush, and other goodies, arrived safely. I must say, kthe brush is excellent. Even applied over my thick winter school kilt, it hurt more than one of my old belts on bare. And that is seriously saying something.
