Well, I am facing the challenge of basically starting over in life. I will soon be single again as I am now seperated...soon to be divorced. Interesting thing is she was the first and only girl I ever loved, so I never even imagined it all could end this way. But, she was unfaithful...unfaithful to me by sneaking around with my brother. Isn't it something how the people we love the most in life can wind up hurting us the most. They are both extremely sorry...but that just doesn't mean anything to me. One thing is for sure...I may never trust anyone again. I may also never date again. I have told family & friends that the breakup is due to us growing apart. My family and friends would absolutely banish my brother & her for life if they knew the truth. Which wouuldn't gain anybody anything. Unfortunately I guess I feel like I proved the old saying about the nice guy always finishes last...except I feel like the nice guy who not only finished last...but also got trampled by all the other people. Anyways take care everyone...I will still lurk around occasionally, but obviously will not have anything to post about anymore. |

hot seat, hang in there. I am so sorry that happened to you, but you are extreamly more mature that they are, not letting your friends and family know what they did, definatly the bigger man. I can tell you I know how you feel about being apart from her, my husband left me 2 years ago, but over stupid stuff, I've never cheated on him, and never will. I thought I would die, but thankfully for me he came to his sences and came back home. I hope you do learn to trust again, because I can assur you not all women are like that. Good luck, and I hope to hear more from you soon.

ease up hotseat.....
take a while and cool down.... you aint dead... they did you a favor... if she had stayed with you and loved him it would have hurt you more...
your feelings are hurt and you are embareassed and pissed off and angry and frustrated,,, if that aint enough i will think of some more... this is not the time to make decisions.... i have been in a similar situation... forgive her and your brother, wish them both well and don't stop loving them or yourself.... you will survive.
it won't be long before a little cutie pie will come along and you will know that if she had not left you , you would not have the new her... it will be better, it always does get better, if you want it to... |

Been there done that Hot seat, though it was a good friend and not exactly the same. I did learn to trust again, and found myself again, then moved on. Sounds like you've handled it so as not to have regrets down the line-good job. Glad I did too.
And today, years later I have Tina in my life. Telling you this so you can hopefully see light at the end of this long tunnel your staring down now. Good Luck p.v. Me anytime.
