One night a little boy asked is mom "May I pray to god for a new bike? Mine is old and rusted and it has a flat tire."
The mother told her young son "You can pray to god about anything you like." Trying to encourage he son to be more faithful.
The little boy went to bed and got down on his hands and knees and prayed "God bless Mom, God bless Dad, God bless Fluffy, and........... God Bless my little sister. God I have a favor to ask you,do you think I could get a new bike? Mine is old and needs a alot of repair. Could you help me out please? Amen."
He climbed into his bed and went to sleep right away. He woke up the next moring and jumped out of bed. He looked everywhere and found no bike.
He would try again, tonight. He was nice to sister and even played with the blocks with her. He helped his mom make dinner and even helped with the dishes. He picked up the blocks and took his bath without a hitch. He jumped up at bedtime and ran into the bedroom. His mother was shocked he had been such a good boy today.
"God bless Mom, God Bless Dad, God Bless,...." He thought for a minute and decided to put his siter in front of the cat, it would look better for the bike."Rosey, God Bless Fluffy, God Bless my teacher, God Bless All. Hi God It me again. Have you thought about my bike problem? I have been really good today. I even played with my little sister. Well I am going to bed because it is bedtime now, goodnight God. Amen."
Morning came, but without a bike. He swept the kitchen, washed the car, and took his sister outside to play. He was determind to be as he could so he could get that bike.
The nightime came and he prayed "God Bless Mom, God Bless Dad, God Bless Rosey, God Bless Fluffy, God Bless my teacher, God Bless Grandma, God Bless all my classmates God Bless everyone else who I can't think of. Hey God its me. How are you? Have you thought about the bike? I have, it doesn't have to be anything fancy. Amen.
The sun came up but no bike. He wondered what he did wrong. He was going to try something different tonight.
Before bed he rumaged around in his toy box for just the right thing, then he went into his mom's bedroom to get something. He arranged his scence on his nightstand. At bedtime he prayed "Alright I have bless everyone, been nice to my sister, and did chores I didn't have to do. You have not held up your end of the deal." He glanced at the nightstand, it was a statue of the virgin mary with little green army men sat all the way around her."I am holding your mother hostage until I get my God damn Bike. Amen."
To live life without pulling your hair out, you must find humor in the day somewhere. Without humor we would all just go crazy.
