Here is something just a little off topic from that is what this forum is all about but have to ask you this question as it seems that a number of times this topic have shown up in my travels on the net. Ok…here it is. I do not know if this is for real or just whatever…BUT! I have read and saw that in Europe a new fashion trend is starting or am lead to believe that this is coming. What is it…? Well here it is, what do you think about guy (men) wearing pantyhose… Well not really pantyhose but what is called tights a much thicker pair of that like pantyhose….NO I am not joking. Just do a search on google or some other one and type in “ men’s tights “ and just have a look at the sheer number of places that sell tights for men. Ok so here is my question to you ladies most of all, what do you think about men wearing them. And also from you guys out there to what are your thoughts on this, is it the new fashion trend or just…..I do not know what.
Historically speaking yes men did wear them in like back in what was it 1700’s or so and
earlier and was a part of everyday clothing for men, and if you look at old painting and so on from then you can see this. I have no idea when they became all of a sudden female only clothing, but it did at some point. Ok, so the question is, if this really is a new tread as what I been lead to believe that started in Europe, what do you ladies think about it all if you would see this fashion statement come into being here…..? |

I have to say I'm all for men in hosiery.
...but then, I've my 18th century fashion fetish, so... men look better in tights anyhow as far as I'm concerned ^^;
Although, really, if you consider it, it's just a form of dress socks that don't require sock garters. I know even that sort of sock's a bit out of fashion as now, but the fact does remain that they'd stay up better than just plain black dress socks too.
Plus they can shape the legs and hold certain bits in place.
Although do you know what designers are selling them? The first several pages on a quick search turned up stores that sell tights and men's clothing or for tights for dancers. |

Well in my case it was a odd way I found myself where I did. See I ride a motor bike...not full time I do have car...well more then one to be honest about it. But I enjoy the bike the most. In the summer it just fine but in early spring and even into the later parts of spring before summer really comes, it can get bloody cold out there sometimes very quickly...like once I recall it was early spring and temp was cool not cold. The sun went down a north wind kicked up and next thing I knew was my bike did a little dance now and then on the road...it was patchy ground frost...!!! Good way to get killed real fast when your doing 120...oh that is Km/H so in MPH that is like 72 I think.
Now most the the guys that ride wear leather everything, thats fine but I am not going to lay out 400+ bucks for leather pants. So right now I wear at times under my jeans a pair of this ladies stretch spandex I think it called legging..?? Just like pants but snug all over. My legs and most of all my knees are very touchy to cold so I need something and those seem to work just fine to lessen the heat lose from the wind. So while I was looking for other things that might help in keep warm without getting thick and heavy and getting into the biker look of leather pants... I saw tights...then more tights for men popped up...and I was just blown away that there seem to be sooooo many places that are selling tights designed just for men. And then I read on one site in passing that its a fashion thing coming in, in europe and as the thing said...spreading fast. Must be as I did the same looking around about 2 years ago and I can honestly say...i do not recall ever seeing so many sites all dealing with pantyhose and tights for men...Not cross dressing but really for men. One site ever stated out front this is not a FETISH or CROSS DRESSING site. All I can say is this, they must me selling real good, for if they would not be there would not be so many sites and they would go broke in no time. So they have to be doing good in sales to support that many companies/groups/sites for this...
personaly would I wear them...??? Well might if someone would not think I am a cross dresser/drag queen...or some such thing. I would enjoy the freedom of movement over that of heavy thick stuff. So I posed the question to the group on there input on how they would feel about this for guys... I know that some of you ladies seem to have a fetish for guys in tights...how do I know that you ask...? Well I like the finer things in life, symphony, opera and the odd ballet performance. And have heard and knew two ladies that would go and sit up close so they could watch the ballet guys in there tights...and the comment they made...you could just see they had a heavy sexual fetish going for guys in tights...I use to laugh about it...that was 5 years back...now I just wonder... |

Do they have a zipper in front.I have a hell of a time with my Santa Claus suit for the last couple of years cause it doesn,t.I don,t think that tights take that into account.It,s easy to understand why women like to see men in tights cause they can see the bulge(matter of fact that,s why men wore cod pieces)but if it don,t have a zipper forget it. |

Not zipper front but some sort of flap as one site that sold then stated it had a fly opening |

Well, in the past, it was a fad for men to carry a purse. So if they want to wear tights or pantyhose I suppose it is up to the individual.
I know of some guys who were jockeys that wore them when racing and of some guys in the military that wore them in the jungles to help keep leeches and the like off their skin.
As fashion...well, I wear them so I suppose if a guy wants to wear them he can just go for it.

Doesn't bother me what men want to wear as long as it does't come from my closet or drawer.
I do know that my husband would NEVER even consider pantyhose or tights or whatever you want to call them. |
