ok, call me nosy.......but I have to ask:
How and where did all you spanking couples meet? And I know there are some of those who have packed up and moved to be with their S/O - if so, how far did you travel? What was that experience like?

I met him thru a dating service, and if it wasn't for my gf telling me to try it, I might not have met him. we were only 30 miles part, we had dated for almost 4 months and by that time we both knew this was it, and then I was in the hospital with a heart problem afterwards he moved me to his house and I have been there ever since.
The biggest adjustment was giving up my old job and getting a new job closer to home and that has worked out ok. of course the lucky part is I have him as my Hubby and friends and family are not far away either.

I met my hubby in a spanking chat room. I was relativly new to the chat and one day he came in. It took 2 weeks of talking to him in the main before he FINALLY took me to a pm and it just went from there. We chatted for over 2 years. Only he was in the UK and I was in Oklahoma. We talked online, on the phone and correspondence. I knew in my heart that he was the one for me but...HOW did I get to him? Then one day, I just made the jump, got my passport and he got me a ticket and I came to the UK. That was 5 years ago. We are together now for life.
Take my heart and soul. But please don't step on it, it breaks easily.

Sparkle and I met through the old alt.sex.spanking newsgroup. We joined about the same time and knew each other casually. I'd always assumed she was older than me (thought she was a grad student...I was an undergrad at the time). Then she posted about being offline for awhile as she got ready to go to grad school and I realized we were about the same age (as it turns out, only 3 weeks apart).
I e-mailed her off and on for awhile, then we started talking more on AOL, then on the phone most every night and finally decided to meet. We were in different states, so this was a big deal. About a year after our first meeting, she moved out here and we were engaged within a month and married a little over a year later. In a couple of weeks, we celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary.
As far as distances go, she's from Indiana and was there during her time on a.s.s. Then she moved to the east coast for grad school, so that's where she was for the bulk of our non-engaged/ non-married relationship. I've been in California the whole time.

I met my husband in spanking chatroom the same one Shylah met her husband in.
I moved 1200 miles!! For me that was a huge change. I've never been away from my family and I just packed and did it. Didnt even really think about it, until after it was done. |

Wow some big chances taken here,but it shows you never know who and where you might fall in love.
For me I met my wife at work an we have been together for nearly 8 years,married 4 1/2.
Our relationship is fantastic and hopefully we will grow old together. |

I met Dan on a forum like this, we realized from our posts that we had much in common, and started emailing each other off the board. In time our emails became more frequent so we moved it up a notch and began chatting by instant messenger. Soon, that wasn't enough so the nightly phone calls began. And these were marathon phone conversations that lasted anywhere from 4-8 hours every night.
It didn't take much longer before we decided we had to meet to see if this relationship was "real" and could stand up to face-to-face interaction. By then our relationship wasn't just about spanking, it was so much more than that, and worth taking a chance on. That's when I flew to meet him. I did the basic safety precaution measures before I left btw.
From the moment I saw him in the airport and he wrapped his arms around me, I knew I was home. We were fortunate that it worked out so well, but that was due to us both being very upfront and honest with each other. There were no ugly surprises or hidden agendas to deal with so all that was left was to spend time together physically to make sure we really did click; and we did!
We knew we were in love so the only thing left to do was move me a couple thousand miles. I was willing and able to move so it was only logical for me to be the one to do it. The next thing was trying to come up with a compromise that allowed me to move without any regrets. We were halfway across the country from each other so it wasn't easy to arrange, but he's been extremely understanding and has done everything possible to make sure I'm with my family as much as I want.
I love his hometown so it's been great for me, I've experienced so many new things and I love it here! I've got the man I love, amazing new experiences that I would never have had if I hadn't met him, and time with my family as much as I want. It's been wonderful and I feel very blessed by it all! |

Oh wow. 4-8 hour transcontinental nightly phone conversations.
I hope you had a good phone plan bethie  . Even if not, it's always worth it in those scenarios, isn't it? . It's kind of amazing how so many people here have met their loves through the internet and even groups like these. |
