Hi People,
How do you wind down after a day/night at work?
My job can be very demanding as I work 12hr shifts and after a long night it's nice to take all the safety gear off and chill.It's quiet and a nice time to let work dissipate from my body before going to bed. |

Depends on the season....
If its summer - then I like to go outside - walk, hike, or just hang out in my garden or on the deck with hubby- we enjoy cooking on the grill too- that's relaxing.
If its winter - then I am definately by the fireplace with a good book (better yet, with my hubby, a glass of wine, and the fireplace)
If its spring - then we like to walk the dog in the woods
Now fall - that my ULTIMATE favorite time of year! I like to put on a soft warm jacket and rake leaves - or we go to the local farm after dinner and get apples

If I've been out in the field, I generally like to take a shower as soon as I get home and then just lie on the bed for awhile. That little break helps because the evening routine with a 2 1/2 year old can be pretty hectic.
During the winter, I love lighting a fire in the fireplace and stretching out on the couch with a good book and a glass of single malt Scotch. It may not be Heaven, but its about as good as it gets here.

A nice easy walk, sitting in front of the fire, a long bubblebath with some chocolate and a book, cuddling on the couch. When I had a horse it would have been going for a ride. Now a nice relaxing spanking would be my #1 choice.

Yes lighting a real log fire is great,but living in the uk going to the beach at virtually anytime can be daunting.The weather here(where I live)is indifferent at best though a quiet walk along the beach with wife and dogs can be relaxing |

oh geee......I forgot a few other things 
a nice slow spanking relaxes me - and I gotta agree with Tammy --->snuggling with my hubby on a cold winter's night is relaxing (actually, snuggling with him ANYTIME is relaxing). Oh, and holding hands or walking arm in arm is relaxing -especially when we are out in public

In the summertime, we have this lovely little spring fed pond that we float around in. Very relaxing, that, or the hammock hung between two fir trees. In the winter, it's cuddling up on the sofa with a fire in the woodstove.
I used to like going for a drive to relax, but gas prices and the sheer volume of traffic everywhere anymore has rather scotched the relaxing part.
Some day you'll spank me... er thank me for this!

I've fallen in love with bath bombs and melts and such from Lush--this brilliant bath company. There's nothing like hiding up to your ears in bubbles in a tonka scented pink bath surrounded by flower petals to make you forget all the worries in the world.  |

some great views here and a lot of ideas for us all.My wife loves the bath scene hot, bubbly, scented candles flicking on the edge of the bath providing that cosy dim lighting effect.Maybe a little music.
