Hi everyone, I'm back from a spanko conference in Toronto. A wonderful time was had by all and I will have funny stories to tell at a later date.
Unfortunately, my mother had to be admitted to the hospital while I was away and is not doing very well. At this time she is hooked up to many machines and the outlook isnt good. I hope that you will keep her in your prayers as we both go through this saddening time. If I'm not around very much I hope you all know that I am thinking of you, and will be back as soon as I can.

My thoughts and prayers are with you Wolfie, I know how difficult it is to deal with an ill parent. I'm sure many in this group are dealing with similiar situations. I hope any or all of us can be there is spirit to hand your hand. Take care of your mom and keep yourself strong.

Thank you everyone.
The end is close at hand, and it will be as a very brokenhearted little wolf that I say goodbye to my mother. My brother is coming home to join me, and we will do what is right and let her go. As most do Im sure, I'd hoped for more time...but a terminal illness is not to be dissuaded.
If I'm not on much for a while, I hope you'll forgive me and keep me in your thoughts and prayers. And good advice is always well received.

Oh Darling Wolfie, take your time to mourn and weep. Letting go is the hardest thing. Life is so precious, and you will have lots of memories to keep you mother alive in your heart. When you are ready, we will be waiting here for you with open arms.

Oh Wolfie....I'm so, so sorry. I'm glad that your brother is coming so that you don't have to do this on your own.
I agree with Teddy...remember to thank you Mom, and let her know that you love her. And remember to feel proud that you've taken such wonderful care of her, and made her last few years happy ones. If she's not well enough to say it, remember how lucky she was to have a loving daughter like you. That's more than many are blessed with.

It's over at last, and I am more devastated than I can say. As well as exhausted. Mom's death was as peaceful as we could make it...now its time to celebrate her life.
I dont know how I'll get thru the coming days without her, she's been such a part of my life for so many years now.
Losing a parent is so hard.

Wolfie... Lean on God right now. he will get you through the days to come. I know there is nothing that can be said that will ease your pain. Your mother will live on, in your memories and in your heart. As painful as the next days and months will be, God will be beside you and your friends will hold you in their thoughts, prayers and hearts. You hurt, but in time, you will also heal. I pray God's comfort for you and your family.

Baby girl ------listen to me. From one daughter to another- you did right. I'm a nurse. I've held Many a hand while an alone person made their way out of this life. I'm so sorry you've had to go through this. You've been a wonderful daughter and such a comfort to her. You allowed her to go peacefully and that's a huge and totally unselfish gift.
Rejoice in her life and remember the mother's love that will always be with you. Take care of yourself and let me know if there's anything I can do for you. You're in my heart and prayers, dear friend. |

Huggggggs my friend. Everything happens in it's own good time when it is supposed to happen. Last evening was your mothers time. She is in a better place and now she can watch over you.
As you get your feet under you again, live life to the fullest both for yourself and for you mother.
The Spice of Life is having my OWN WAY!! A spanking would be nice.

Wolfie, it appears from the above posts that the time has come. Please remind yourself that your mother is proud of you and grateful for all you have done for and with her. You are the wonderful woman that you are today due to her.
She raised a beautiful, intelligent daughter who is loving and caring. Let the tears flow and keep that special place in your heart to tuck her into. You are part of her and she is part of you, and that part will live on.
