I'm hoping someone can give me advice on how to handle not only the loss of my husband, but the loss of the comfort of the spankings he used to give me. He died in November last year of cancer. Since then, I feel lost and un anchored. Has anyone else had to deal with this and if so, how?
Thanks for reading.}}}

Sorry to hear about your loss, must be very difficult for you. While it was several months ago would still advise to make no major decisions for a year. Ease back into the world by reaching out to past friends and do something unusual. Like take a painting class. Look for people here to connect with - may take a while - but you can still find a partner with shared interests. GOod luck

Hi Widowb,
I realize this thread was started months ago, but I hope you're still here or maybe just lurking. I can't offer any advice, but Maxsey's advise was very good, I thought. I can offer support and perhaps you can help me as well.

My darling wife of twenty years was diagnosed two and a half years ago. She's stage four colorectal cancer, it entered her bloodstream before it was diagnosed and it's spread. She's been doing chemo, post surgery and is now in drug trials. In fact, we JUST signed her up for an immunotherapy trial. She's doing well, but I must admit, I'm very afraid of the dark days ahead.

My sympathy on your loss,
Wyatt
