My partner likes an intense, and long spanking session. But we're hoping to find a way to minimize bruising after, can anyone offer any advice?

Not really but I've found that the spankee's position helps. If the spankee is bent over rather than lying flat, that will increase the likelyhood of bruising. Plus I've found for myself that the more you are spanked the less you bruise.
There are also all sorts of other treatments to help the spankee's bruises heal faster. Have a look through the older threads here.

iron dependents and ppl that are high red meat eaters tend to bruise more , but not always , toys and position tend to be a factor , icing the skin down can also help reduce bruising , it works the blood away from the service of the skin , and will also help in healing if you use bag bombs

i know this is late- but there are creames available that help reduce bruising. Look for them in the pharmacy - tend to have vitamin K as an ingredient.
