I was raised in a church. For along time I wasn't interested in religon at all, but recently it has become much more important to me.

I have felt some conflict with my 'spanko' urges that have persisted since I first hit puberty. After some extensive dating, I'm really just looking for a long term relationship that hopefully leads to marriage.

But I feel allot of conflict inside of me. I feel that some how my S/M or spanking 'fetish' or whatever is wrong. There is a BDSM club at my college, but I have reservations about attending.

For along time, I've wanted to go to a shadow lane Las Vegas event, or something similar, but somehow it seems like promiscuity to me. I know I wouldn't have sex there, but honestly, I'm tired of sleeping around.

I'm posting this just to see: have any of you ever felt similar emotions?

I'm a fairly religious person, but I never felt that my spanko side conflicts with it. People are aroused by different things. There are religious views on sleeping around and some people are more strict than others, but the specific details of how one person is aroused is a private thing between him/her and his/her partner.

Tank, please read our site rules in the Site Protocols thread in the Site Information area. Religion is one of the "hot button" topics that we avoid here. These conversations can become highly emotionally charged and lead to angry or hurt feelings so I'd rather we avoided bringing religion into our conversations here.

If you are interested, try doing a web search for religious based domestic discipline sites. They are out there and more capable of providing the answers you are looking for on this particular subject.

Thank you.

Dear Admin,
We all realize that religion is a hot issue, but its something many of us wonder about in relation to spanking. It sounds like Tank was asking an honest question. Have you considered creating a section for these types of discussion.

No, I have not considered it nor do I plan to. Tank asked a question about a topic that is against the rules so I suggested an alternative.

There are many other topics that some people consider relate to spanking in one way or another but if it's against the rules, those topics can't be discussed either. I'm not here to cater to everyone because that would be more than I want to or could deal with. I have these rules in place because this is my space and I have to be comfortable with what goes on here.

Bethie
