My dear girlfrien that I have known snce I was 4 told me this week end I am such a girly gril. You know the type has a lot of lace on sometimes hidden so that only certain people can see. Wear dresses not pants, enjoys wear make up and having her hair done prefect every day. feminanity just bubling out. So I asked Bill if he thought that I was like this becasue I am so comfortable at being a female to his mascularity. I really enjoy being a female I love that fact that every morning I have sexy lace underwear on that only Bill knows about. I know that after a spanking not matter what type gg or bg I feel so comfortable in being me a very female female Does that make sense. so my question is to all the females do you feel more female since the start of your relationship or not

Red, I feel more feminine since we have started our DD relationship, but I can't put myself in the "girly girl" catagory (clothes, makeup). Maybe it' because I'm a personal trainer and spend most of my day in gym clothes! I, too, love the lacy sexy underwear (although its not practical for work, same goes for makeup -especially when I am weight-training and sweating- lol - not a pretty sight!) - but I do enjoy wearing them for "R".
As far as feeling more "female" - I would have to say yes - but it's more of an inner feeling - a feeling of contentment with myself and my role as His - and my place in our relationship.
"Thought I WAS being a good girl...really I did!"

I doubt I'll ever be a girly-girl, although I really enjoy feeling feminine. Because of my work, my animals and a lack of being out amongst the public, I have always lived in jeans/t-shirts/sweatshirts and sneakers. Didnt real care how I looked because of a body image problem.

Steve has changed this in many ways. He likes me in skirts, pretty shirts, sexy lingerie. He makes me feel pretty and sexy, so I want to dress up for him. I love the way his eyes light up when he sees me in something sexy, and the way he teases me about lifting my skirt in public for a spanking. I now pay closer attention when I shop, and look for flattering fits and colors.

Embracing submission has made a big difference in how I look at myself, and especially in how I feel about myself. When I am with Steve, I love being a woman.
If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a hundred minus one day, so I never have to live without you.

A neighbor of ours once said that I look like I should be on the cover of Cosmo, cause I was always perfectly made up, although it looked quite natural. I've always felt very feminine even moreso when I'm dressed all in black and riding my motorcycle.

___________________________

I wouldn't want to let any man define my femininity. I'm a woman, and in meeting me...there really is no mistaking that fact. As for the style of dress, lace is okay, depending on the style (as I'm NOT a frilly type - so no ruffles, just sexy revealing/tempting)... but those are just clothes. Sexy is within for me, and the clothes are just icing for the cake. I won't deny feeling a bit sexier in heels and a short dress/skirt, but that's whether I'm going out with a man, or my girlfriends. I tend to enjoy dressing for me (and comfort) first. Girlygirl is not me, and never has been. But...I'm thinking you knew that already! I'm a woman, and it shows.

K

PS And I agree with Kennysspankee, that riding and leathers make me feel sexy too, but I do work harder to show I'm a woman, when I'm riding. I have seen a bit too make butch dykes (looking handsome enough for them), but I like to show my femininity when I'm riding. Maybe I'm a girlygirl biker!

I think I am more of a girly girl than not. Although recently I have become more comfortable with the more natural look. But I almost always will go for the more feminine softer look if possible even in jeans and sneekers. If I'm camping, well all bets are off.

I don't know about being a girlygirl but I do know that I search high and low for lace underwear and lingerie. I love lace and silky feel against my body. I like wearing dresses but it's not "pratical" in my everyday living. I do wear them when at all possible. I don't wear my makeup all the time but I do wear it when getting dressed up for something special. Bob tells me I am beautiful without it anyway.

I don't feel I need to work harder to show I'm a woman when I'm riding my bike. There's no mistaking my hourglass shape and the long, wavy blonde hair a-flyin'! I got stopped at a checkstop and I'd been stopped twice already to show I had a license to drive a bike (lots of guys don't apparently) and I told the cop I was in a hurry (he'd checked me before and remembered me) cause I had an appt. to get my hair cut. So he let me go past everyone, but before he let me go he said "You're not going to cut that beautiful blonde hair are you?" And I said "No way, just a trim". He said "Good", then waved me by.

I really didn't mean to imply that any man should define any women. I work in a very male domanated field. If you look at many of the large accounting firms you will found that at least 80% of all the partners are men and that's what I am up against every single day. I enjoy being a women and yes I wear high heels, hose and dresses every single day. I mentioned before that being 5'11" and having a 34 inner seam, pants that fit right are very hard to come by that look good on me. Being as tall as I am most of my dresses or skirt tend to be on the short side plus I have the shape that can get away with it. I ever wear jean skirts on the week ends sometimes with boots soemtimes with shoes because I feel comfortable in them plus my husband likes them better.I wear make up every day but as someone else said it looks very natural. All that being said I really enjoy being a women.

Any woman that enjoys being a woman will BE a woman no matter what she wears. I don't need a man to define my feminity and I don't think any of you do either. We know who and what we are.

And I think that makes ALL of us special JUST THE WAY WE ARE.

No man defines me, but there is a difference in the way I feel about myself and my femininity since meeting Steve. That he is an experienced Dom, and I had no idea what a submissive I really was when we met, only made me feel stronger about being a woman.

Its very easy for any woman to get caught up in work, children or in my case...being a caregiver for an ill parent, and lose the part of herself that feels female. Being with a very masculine, courtly, well-mannered man helped me recover that part of me that was missing.

Okay, an observation. Maybe I don't have it right but it seems to me we spanko's and spankees, for that matter, are just wired differently. Our sexuality kind of oozes out everywhere. Whether we're male or female, sub or dom, in or out of relationships. Spanking is sexual in nature, whether it is used as part of a DD relationship or not. The fact that we're sexual by nature makes us feel more of whatever sex we are. Does that make sense? It's like we're a tad closer to the core of what we are because of or maybe despite our interest in spanking. Some woman feel sexy in a girlie girl way (like me)and others in the temptress way (like you Ftop)either way it comes across pretty strongly when we're comfortable with it. Which brings me back around to the topic at hand. I tend to dress like I'm about to get a spanking everyday, especially under proper business attire, it makes me more aware sexually on a pretty much constant basis. It's real close to the surface and usually not far from mind which makes me feel pretty damn sexy. Gotta love that! BTW, I usually have something lacy or at least silky somewhere on my person even when I'm in jeans and a sweatshirt so the answer, for me at least, is yes being a spankee does make me feel more feminine.

Having live most of my life as a 'tomboy' I now find I am happy to be a woman. Not really in to girly girl but certainly a lot more feminine than I have ever been. I now wear more skirts or dresses, in the summer at least, and I wear pinks and other pastel colors. I also wear blouses with a more feminine cut as opposed to shirts. So yes my relationships have helped me feel more comfortable with my femininity.
Thank you Sir from the heart of my bottom.

I like to dress like a girly girl, but in Montana most of the time it's not really appropriate. I love the lacy underwear and lingerie and so does my husband. When we go to big cities I dress more feminine. Don't know about feeling more feminine at the start of the relationship (we've been married 28 years), but definitely since the start of the spanking and discipline. Not sure why??

I think its because for some of us the more dominant the man is, the more submissive we feel. And being submissive can also make you feel more feminine. At least, thats how it works for me.

Proofete,
I think you are right. Bill tells me it doesn't matter if I have a potatoe sack o my sexuality just escapes. I am a girly girl. I always have lace on somewhere somedays it might just be my underwear other days it might be on a blouse but it is there. I don't do ruffles that is way to little girl for me.
Wolfie, I too feel more female with Bill than ever before and I also think as you do it's because I am very comfortable in my role as a sub so therefore I am comfortable in my choice of bring a very girly female.

Don't get me wrong I have leather outfits ok maybe justa leather skirt and blazer but I always wear a lace blouse with it so it looks like the tought female with a bit of softness. I rememeber wear it to a business meeting once and it throw the perso who I was meeting off. He was prepared to bargin with a soft touch female who than had the nerve to show up in leather wasn't quite sure how to deal with that one.
whatever it is for what ever reason Ilove being a female and a girly one at that.

Red, I'm with ya on mixing the leather and touch of lace. I promised myself a pink leather jacket, if I ever lost weight. I walked into a store, with a friend last fall, and right there in the front was soft pink, leather scuba jacket. I wasn't even going to try it on, cause they never fit...I'm a tad large on top, although no one's ever complained. Anyway, my friend almost had to force me to try it on. (That and the sales price was the other force.) For anyone that's lose weight, you know how hard it is to accept that you've really gone down in sizes. Well...it fit like it was made for me. I find the "pink" leather is so much more me, than the black. Is that "girlygirl? Still leaves the hint of toughness, along with that small touch of soft. I have not been able to wear it without getting at least a dozen comments a night.

I love the idea of a bit of leather at work too. I'm sure it would've thrown off quite a few people that I used to work with in the past.

I think most people would think I'm average on the 'girly' scale - until they see my bedroom. It's pink. REALLY pink. And the bed has flowery linens and lots of pillows. Sigh...it's my own little retreat.

Hehehehehe I adore leather, anyway I can get it.

As for pink...my favorite color. That and lavender. My bathroom is pink with roses everywhere, the tiled bath has 2 lovely ladies in pink togas holding flowers on 1 side. When I am soaking in the tub, with scented candles and scented oil in the water I am as girly-girl as they get. Delicious!

My leather outfit is black I would love to wear pink but with my red hair it just doesn't look good. However my house is very girly I live in a old (104 years old) victorian home that is so girly Bill jokes that he might have to sit down to pee. I gave him one room and that's the den and it's all done in leather really very he manish. Big over stuffed chairs and couch large fireplace that a small chikd (no more than 4 feet) can stand up in - it came with the house and I think the room we use as a den once was the kitchen. No joking about the house we have did everything over I could have written and starred in the movie the money pit.

My point being that I think because we are comfortable with who we are we can express that in being girly or being a vamp. Top I think your pink leather makes you a vamp with a touch of girly. Whatever it is enjoy it because I know I do. What did the song from the 70 say I am women hear me roar well I for all of you who live any where the NY area I am roaring.

PS Top grads on losing the weight.

I am a girly girl and proud of it! I love my make up and my matching undies and bras, my bling and all other "girl" things. There is nothing wrong with being a girly girl.

But to answer the orig. question... yeah my relationship can make me feel more womanly. I like him being in control, setting boundaries. It may sound crazy but when you play the bitch all day at work it's nice to be NOT the boss at home.

I think a misconception, with men and women, is that the female boss, is a "bitch," if in charge. This is not the case, with competent, intelligent women, just as it's not the case that all male bosses are bastards in the work place. Sure there are a few around, but it's not the norm.

Perhaps I'm taking things to literally, but I keep seeing women put down lately (all over the place, and usually by other women), whether it be for them having a strong personality, or for being feminine and embracing that part of themselves. Somehow I keep reading (and not meaning just in this group) about submissiveness as a negative trait, yet personally desired for so many. I feel it should be celebrated for them, whether it be a woman OR a man.

As a dominant woman, one of my greatest struggles is seeing how women are treated, in general, AND in the BDSM community, especially the sub female. I've been called a "bitch" because I stand up for myself and others, and I have to say that I take offense to it, when it's tossed around to define being "in charge" or being responsible and efficient.

Dommes are predominately thought the same, in many circles of men, just by default of being a strong woman.

Women are women. Some dress with a strong and obvious feminine flair, and others work to hide it. Some use to their advantage and others do it to feel good. Some enjoy being submissive, and some enjoy being dominant. Some manage with an iron first in business, and some manage with care and concern for the business and it's employees.

Anyway you look it at, if women call themselves "bitches" and put themselves down for taking charge, or speaking their mind...well, we're headed backwards in history, to time where you can expect to be disrespected.

Ok...so lots of women get called a bitch like it's a bad thing. Mostly because they are jealous. A woman will be dominate anytime the situation calls for it. And a woman will be submissive when the situation calls for it. Women are stronger than men in many ways.

I will be submissive when I feel the need to be. Other than that, I am my own person. I've been called a bitch plenty of times. I just say "thank you" and smile.
