I am very new the spanking lifestyle, but I am hoping that my husband will follow through on his promise to indulge my long time fantasies of getting thrashed. My question is for experienced players...besides the hand, what's the best tool to start with. I will say I already suggested his belt (just the thought of it makes my heart skip), but he seemed a bit nervous about using it. I think he is going to have to start out with something more tame but I am hoping that, if he enjoys the experience (or enjoys MY enjoyment...) that we can eventually tread further into those waters...

So to make a short question really long what would you all recommend for first timers? Household items, paddle, belt, ruler etc??

The hand seems to be best for the first time...ummm but no matter what you choose just go slowly and carefully.

My husband used his belt the second or third time he spanked me...I know what you mean about the heart skip! :-)

Just be really careful....it takes practice to know how hard and intense to use any implement. Belts can wrap around your hip and that HURTS like hell...so take it slow and let him know if its to much or not enough.

A kitchen spoon works well...stings too!!!

Good luck!!

I think it is a matter of experimentation. I know from experience what works at one point inour lives does not in another. My first ever spanking was a belt and I hated it. About twenty years later my top used a belt sensually and i loved it. I agree with tammynx go slow and try new things. I prefer the leather paddle but i have a leather fetish.

As everyone says - go slow and just experimnet. Everyone has their niche, at least I think so, with toys and impliments. I know when I played at play parties and stuff I had a friend and one night we just pulled out a bunch of things we both wanted to try or had tried and knew we enjoyed and we tested them out. It was fun in the fact we were trying stuff out and educational for both of us at the same time.
Since you are just starting out you may not have a lot of "toys" in your bag yet. That's OK. Some of my usbands favorite things to use on me are everyday household items. Cooking spoons, rubber spatulas, I even have one small plastic cuttign board about 5 inches long...and he loves that! Hairbrushes go without saying HA HA HA

I understand your heat skipping a beat over a belt - just becareful. :-)

Hi,
Like everyone here says, going slow is important when starting out. I think that something like a wooden spoon, or hand is the best when starting out because you have more control of a wooden spoon and the hand as well. Just be careful and have fun!

Ditto all that's been said-slow, steady, and LOTS of communication.

Something to consider would be a flat, leather or rubber sandal. Easy to control and yet they can warm up a bottom nicely.

If HE is open to taking a few swats with one, he may feel less intimidated about using it on you and will "understand" its capacity. Just a thought.

Have fun and good luck!

The first thing I used on my wife's rear end (besides my hand) was a small leather paddle. It has become her favorite toy. Heats her just right.

Being thrifty (some I know would say "cheap") I would advise not putting too much money into your first toys. There are lots of things that can be "perverted" - (not the spanker or spankee understand, but things around the house LOL)

After you gain a little experience going slow and communicating (Ouch! is communication too :-) you will have some idea of what you like without finding out that $55 lexan cane is too high intensity (or not).

I would second Tammy - a nice wooden spoon is a good bet and you can always use it in the kitchen if it doesn't work out (butt-oil and all)

Yes, go to a kitchen supply place and buy a couple of wooden spoons and perhaps a rubber spatula. A good next step is one of those rubber ball-paddle things. Look up BC Blaster (it's not against the rules to mention it if I don't link, right?). That's the paddle commonly referred to as the CB (because it's sold in Cracker Barrels). You may have read about it. It's more serious, but it's not as bad as other implements my boyfriend uses...
