Is there a method to condition/soften a relatively new or stiff leather belt for discipline use or would I need to
purchase a used belt which is already pliable? I am not one who frequently wears a belt. Maybe I should start.

 Vaseline works great.

I found that a soft old belt worked best but I doubled it up for the handle to help control the swing and impact.

I use leather conditioner from Tandy Leather. It softens leather up quickly and makes it soft.

 Dear Oftenred,
Do you soften the belt? Why doesn't your partner do it? I would think that he would know what is best to use on you?
